Demi Lovato talks getting drugs, alcohol from club promoters

HollywoodNews.com: Demi Lovato has been open about her problems and struggles that led to rehab, and now she is revealing that being a celebrity didn’t help with it all.

Lovato recently opened up to the U.K.’s ‘Fabulous’ magazine about how she used to receive drugs and alcohol from promoters in order to come to their spots and stay out late having fun, states TMZ. “Promoters gave me drugs and alcohol in restaurants or clubs. They wanted me to come back so I would be seen there. They were basically kissing my ass,” Lovato commented about the situation.

And she now feels like being a celebrity played a role in her issues as no one wanted to stop her from self-destructing: “Being a celebrity can be dangerous. Nobody says ‘no’. That’s why so many end up overdosing and dying. It could definitely have happened to me.”
