Kudos for Quentin Tarantino at the MOMA

HollywoodNews.com: It’s Oscar season soon, so it’s time for tributes and special awards that will highlight directors of Oscar buzzed films. Now we’re told that the Museum of Modern Art’s fifth annual Film Benefit, to be held on December 3rd at 6:30 PM, will honor writer / director Quentin Tarantino.

This will be just two weeks before Tarantino unveils “Django Unchained,” with an all star cast and a controversial screenplay. The movie looks amazing from clips, with Jamie Foxx and Leonardo DiCaprio. Now a release from MoMA says that “[Tarantino] renowned for the Academy Award-winning films Pulp Fiction (1994) and Inglourious Basterds (2009), and earlier hit films Reservoir Dogs (1992), Jackie Brown (1997), Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003), and Kill Bill Vol. 2 (2004), among others. Tarantino’s latest film, “Django Unchained”, will be released by The Weinstein Company on December 25th.

The Film Benefit held at The Museum of Modern Art (11 W. 53rd St) will be highlighted by a special presentation recognizing Tarantino’s acclaimed directorial work, followed by a gala dinner. The Film Benefit raises funds to ensure that great works of cinema continue to join the collection of The Museum of Modern Art”
