Ryan Seacrest defends slams against him being at Olympics
HollywoodNews.com: When Ryan Seacrest popped up on TV doing coverage of this year’s Olympics, fans of the event were not pleased to see him covering these major sporting events.
However, the ‘American Idol’ and ‘E! News’ host is defending his work with NBC and the Olympics, states RadarOnline. “As I’ve learned from all my years in television, you can’t please everyone. I believe the huge ratings NBC has drawn for the Olympics speak for themselves,” Seacrest commented.
And Seacrest doesn’t think interviewing these athletes is all that different than his specialty of interviewing celebrities: “Olympic athletes are celebrities too, so there are similarities, though athletes are typically a lot taller.”
He also slammed criticism that he wasn’t prepared to do the interviews since it isn’t his normal gig as he reports that he has been prepping for some time now like he would for any job.
