Sharon Osbourne leaving ‘America’s Got Talent’ because of son’s firing from NBC

HollywoodNews.com: It came as a surprise to many when Sharon Osbourne abruptly announced that she would be leaving her judging role on ‘America’s Got Talent,’ but it seems the decision was easy for her.

Sharon recently announced that she decided to quit after NBC fired her son, Jack Osbourne, from a project after he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, states RadarOnline. “I just can’t be fake … it’s discrimination, and it was badly handled … it’s time to move on,” Sharon commented.

However, NBC producer David Hurwitz claims there was never a done deal with Jack to appear on ‘Stars Earn Stripes’: “He was somebody we were in talks with.”

NBC also issued a statement about the whole situation: “Sharon has been a valuable part of the NBC family. We regret any misunderstanding and wish Jack well.”
