Miley Cyrus’ new album was inspired by Motown

HollywoodNews.com: Miley Cyrus is getting ready to release some new music, and it seems it will be quite a change as this album was apparently inspired by Motown.

Cyrus recently revealed that she was inspired during her time in New Orleans to create music that is a bit out of her comfort zone, states OMG!. “[Fiance Liam Hemsworth] was filming a movie in New Orleans, so I got into the older Motown Sound vibe, which is really fun to mix with this country pop sound,” Cyrus commented.

“I listened to a lot of Irma Thomas and tried to get that old soul into it, too. When you’re making a record you never think of what weird direction you’re going to go, but that was something that popped up in a few of the sessions we’ve been working on, and it’s been really fun,” Cyrus added about how the album came together.

Cyrus is now hoping to release a single in November and go from there.
