Lauren Conrad talks truthfulness of ‘The Hills’

HollywoodNews.com: Fans of reality TV always want to know if the shows are scripted or real, and it seems Lauren Conrad thinks that her former show, ‘The Hills,’ was pretty real.

Conrad opened up to ‘Allure’ about how the storylines portrayed on the show were honest, states UsMagazine.com. “I think the story they told wasn’t a dishonest one. The way they did it sometimes was,” Conrad admitted.

“Sometimes two of their main characters will get into a fight, and that’s important to the story line. The [producers] need that reenacted. Their thing was always: It did happen. They’re not making this up: you just didn’t see it,” Conrad said about how the show worked.

Conrad also admitted that she did, in fact, date Brody Jenner briefly although editing made it seem like a much longer romance.

Do you think the show was realistic?
