Carrie Underwood to star in ‘Sound of Music’ TV remake
HollywoodNews.com: Carrie Underwood is taking her singing skills to TV as she will reportedly star in the TV remake of ‘The Sound of Music.’
Underwood will reportedly star as Maria von Trapp in the 2013 three-hour special presented by NBC, states UsMagazine.com. “Speaking for everyone at NBC, we couldn’t be happier to have the gifted Carrie Underwood take up the mantle of the great Maria von Trapp,” Robert Greenblatt, the entertainment chairman commented.
The show will be produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron who have also worked on ‘Smash.’
