Not a fan of film adaptions as it is and this film looks like a sappy love movie. It seems like they were aiming towards the same audience that fell in love with (also a film adaption of one of Nicholas Sparks’s best selling novel) The Notebook but fell short, way short.

I think this prediction will not hold true since Avatar will rose 90% Saturday and only drop 34% Sunday while Dear John will drop stiffly Saturday at -33% and -30% Sunday.

I will assume that this will be the tally for the weekend;

1. Avatar – 25.7 Million
2. Dear John – 24.5 Million

Avatar will end up no.1 again for the 8th weekend in a row. It will upset all such predictions.
