Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton Find Paradise On ‘Night of the Iguana’ Shoot
By Marilyn Beck
PUERTO VALLARTA, MEXICO — Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton have discovered paradise – and they freely admit it.
In this tiny, tropical village they have found their heaven on earth, where they can openly display their love for each other, freer than they have ever been from notoriety and criticism.
In an exclusive interview with this reporter, Burton explained that he and his Elizabeth are now in process of buying a home in Puerto Vallarta, that they have found contentment here that has thus far eluded them in the other places they have traveled.
“Half the people here,” he explained, “have never heard of Elizabeth. The other half might have heard of her, but couldn’t care less about her behavior. The natives allow us to live our lives, to act ourselves.”
He grinned disarmingly, as if unaware his statements were newsworthy, and explained, “Elizabeth and I have already put in an offer on one home. It was on the market for $40,000. Unfortunately, when the owner discovered we were the bidders he jacked up his price to $60,000 and we backed out. I am sure of this, however, If we keep looking we will find another home here that pleases us. “This much we’ve decided: we do want to live in Puerto Vallarta. It’s paradise.”
It is understandable that both he and Miss Taylor should have fallen so in love with this tropical village. For here they have been able to act much like honeymooners blissfully in love.

Mario Lopez talks about his former Broadway rivalry
By Greg Hernandez
HollywoodNews.com: Nick Adams is one of the leads in the new Broadway show ‘Priscilla Queen of the Desert’ which officially opens on March 20.
It’s the biggest role to date for this talented performer who first came to fame when he was in the most recent Broadway production of ‘A Chorus Line.’
In this excerpt from an article in ‘The Daily Beast,’ Nick and his co-star Mario Lopez talk about how Nick’s buff body had to be covered up once a not-quite-as-buff Mario joined the show:
He was playing the role of Larry, the dance captain, and for the first two years, things were going well. Every night, the ridiculously fit Adams walked on stage wearing a tiny tank top and some very tight tights. But when the producers of the flailing musical brought in actor Mario Lopez to play the lead in a last-ditch effort to sell more tickets, everything changed.
Soon after Lopez was hired, Adams was handed a baggy hoodie to wear over his tank top. He was also told his placement on stage would “change” from front and center to the back row, which in the theater world is right next to Siberia.
“I was like, is this a joke?” said Adams. “The whole cast looked at me like, what the hell is going on?”
He found out later the request came from Lopez’s people. It seems Adams’ bulging biceps were muscling attention away from the star.
“I went from being known within the theater community to a level we don’t ever experience when we start off on Broadway.”
“It did nothing but help me in the end,” said Adams.
Even though much has been made of the so-called feud, Adams and Lopez are close friends. Adams even introduced Lopez to his girlfriend and mother of his child, Courtney Mazza.
In his first public comment since the incident, Lopez told ‘The Daily Beast’ he never asked for any changes. “It was so not true,” he said. “As you can see, we get along great, we even work out together. That was my first foray into that world and I would never go around saying anything and demanding anything.”
Lopez says he has no idea who made the request, but suspects it came from an overly eager producer. When asked whether he was bothered by all the bad press, he said no. “I thought it was funny. We [Nick and I] both got a big kick [...]

Paul Giamatti on “Win Win,” more “Sideways” and his role in the “Hangover” sequel
By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Fresh off his Golden Globe-winning performance as beleaguered Barney Panofsky in “Barney’s Version,” Paul Giamatti takes the high road – or, at least, a higher road than Panofsky – to play a wrestling coach struggling to hold several lives in orbit for “Win Win.”
A small but emotionally effective ensemble drama, “Win Win” comes from Tom McCarthy, who helmed such well-received titles as “The Station Agent” and “The Visitor.” But collaborating with McCarthy wasn’t Giamatti’s sole reason for signing up with “Win Win,” which recently screened as a Headliner at the South By Southwest film festival in Austin.
“It was the money, frankly,” Giamatti told a room of reporters, filling the space with laughter. “I would have been fiscally irresponsible not to do it.”
We were doing a roundtable interview with Giamatti, asking him about his character, Mike Flaherty, a New Jersey lawyer who spends his after hours coaching high school wrestling. In all seriousness, Giamatti said it was the chance to collaborate with his old friend, McCarthy, that lured him to the project.
“More than anything, it was just Tom telling me he had a script that he wanted me to look at. I told him I didn’t even need to look at it,” Giamatti explained. “I’ve known him for 20 years. I went to drama school with him. I’ve never done anything with him. Anything. For me, he was a guy that I went out and got drunk with. That’s who Tom was to me! He was just this guy who then suddenly started making these wonderful movies. Which didn’t surprise me at all, but I don’t know. I saw these movies that he had made and thought, ‘I’d love to do something with him because he’s such a good guy, it would be really interesting to have him as my boss.’
“He also knew me really well,” Giamatti continued, “as a person and as an actor. He knew my tricks, which he kept making me avoid. But that was great. He was tough on me a lot of times, but that was OK, because he is my buddy, so it was alright.
“I really liked the world of it,” he added. “I liked that it was portraying middle-class suburban life. The character is a guy with conflicts, but he’s a good guy, and I don’t play many sorts of good guys like that, so that was sort of interesting. He’s [...]
Bret Michaels claims he taught Charlie Sheen some of what he knows
HollywoodNews.com: Bret Michaels may not have shown Charlie Sheen how to go on a rant, but he does claim that he taught him one very important thing for any star.
While Michaels was on ‘Access Hollywood Live,’ he reported that he taught Sheen how to tear up a room, states RadarOnline.com.
“I professionally showed [Charlie] how to bust a hotel room. Because he wasn’t doing a good job at it first,” Michaels said about the ‘Two and a Half Men’ actor.
Michaels claims that he told Sheen to let it all out when he tears up a room, something it seems Sheen has learned to do well.
Do you think Charlie Sheen needed to be taught anything?
