Bethenny Frankel’s Skinnygirl Margarita facing a lawsuit

HollywoodNews.com: Bethenny Frankel’s Skinnygirl Margarita has been in hot water lately after being dropped by Whole Foods and now dealing with a lawsuit.
A class action lawsuit has reportedly been filed against the company that owns the brand in regard to the claim of all natural ingredients, states TMZ. The group filing the lawsuit claims they were tricked by thinking there were no unnatural ingredients when sodium benzoate is reportedly in it.
Sodium benzoate is a preservative allegedly used to keep the product on the shelves.
The company reportedly believes the lawsuit is “frivolous” and will defend the product in all ways necessary.

Bethenny Frankel’s Skinnygirl Margarita no longer at Whole Foods

HollywoodNews.com: Whole Foods has reportedly stopped carrying Bethenny Frankel’s Skinnygirl Margarita after claiming that it isn’t actually all natural.
The store has reportedly decided to stop supplying the product after discovering “potentially carcinogenic ingredients,” states FOX. While the product reportedly claims to be all natural, it allegedly has the preservative sodium benzoate in it.
Frankel has responded to the company’s claims about her product: “I’m not making wheatgrass here. If I could put an agave plant and some limes on a shelf I would. [The Skinnygirl Margarita] is as close to nature as possible, while still being a shelf-stable product.”
She also claims that they quit Whole Foods, not the other way around: “With all due respect to Whole Foods, we were in a dozen of their stores and have decided not to continue in these stores.”
