The alleged victim in the case has filed a report claiming he and his friends were seated near Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth at Beacher’s Madhouse at the Roosevelt Hotel when they accidentally bumped into Hemsworth’s chair, states TMZ.

Spike Lee hired for “Oldboy” remake

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: More remake news this morning as Mandate Pictures confirms the news that Spike Lee will be in the director’s chair for an American version of Chan Wook Park’s vengeance thriller “Oldboy.”
Lee’s hiring comes at the tail end of a rumor cycle that had multiple creative teams involved with remaking Park’s story of a man who is imprisoned in a room for years, only to be released as mysteriously as he was detained. Now free, he sets out to find the people who kept him under lock and key so he can find out why.
The strangest combo we had heard about “Oldboy” was that Steven Spielberg wanted to make the movie with Will Smith in the lead, yet neither of those pieces fit with the story’s dark tone. Lee works, and it will be very interesting to see who he decides to cast in his lead, as the part requires some heavy lifting physically and emotionally (Denzel Washington, stay by your phone).
So, the “Oldboy” remake is underway. Do you like Lee’s hiring? Who would you like to see in the remake? Let us know.

Selena Gomez admits she gets caught up in vanity of being a celebrity

HollywoodNews.com: Selena Gomez may seem to be handling fame well, but she is admitting that sometimes she gets caught up in it all.
Gomez admits in an E! special about herself that she can get stuck on the superficiality of the business, states Hollyscoop. “I sit in a chair for two hours and get hair and makeup done and talk about [myself] in interviews. That’s a very vain thing to do. And I do get caught up in it sometimes,” Gomez revealed.
Luckily, it seems that her family has kept her grounded despite her sudden rise.
Do you think a lot of celebrities get caught up in it?

Ben Affleck circling “Argo” for producer George Clooney

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: After “Gone Baby Gone” and “The Town,” we’ll happily report any news nuggets about Ben Affleck returning to the director’s chair.
If one film has a legitimate gripe of being left out of the 10 Best Picture nominees this year, it’s Affleck’s taut bank-robbing thriller, Maybe he’ll have a better shot with his next project, which we’re hearing might be “Argo.”
The politically themed story, based on an article written in Wired magazine, explains how the CIA fooled the Iranian government in 1979 as an effort to rescue six U.S. diplomats that were being held hostage.
“The CIA used a disguise expert and concocted a scenario that involved the six being a Hollywood crew scouting a movie titled Argo. Under those disguises, they were able to flee the country,” THR reports.
The trade says Affleck is “in early negotiations” to direct the film, which is supposed to have touches of humor (not surprising once you learn that George Clooney and his partner, Grant Heslov, are producing the political thriller).
It sounds like a film Affleck could handle, and it’s a step away from the 1970s-tinged crime thrillers that he has used to launch his directorial career to date. We’ll let you know if anything comes of “Argo,” and Affleck’s involvement.
