Carson Kressley eliminated from DWTS

HollywoodNews.com: Carson Kressley may have charm and humor to spare, but his low scores on Dancing With the Stars caught up with him as the Queer Eye alum and his partner Anna Trebunskaya were eliminated earlier tonight from the competition.
The pair scored just 19 points this week for their spirited jive routine during 80s week. Carson felt they deserved more points: “We can dance and have fun at the same time. That’s called entertaining. … I think sometimes our showmanship is overlooked.”

Carson explained to On the Red Carpet after the show how his “dreams have been realized” after his many experiences and costumes on Dancing with the Stars.
“So many of my dreams have been realized,” he said. “I got to dress as cheerleader and do cheerleading moves, and do a cartwheel in front of 22 million people. Let me check this off my bucket list — done!”

The girls’s volleyball team challenges the Hellcats to a flag-football game. Lewis (Robbie Jones) coaches the Hellcats and Red (Jeff Hephner) is impressed by his plays. Marti (Aly Michalka) pretends to be sick so she can skip the game and attend a conference with Julian (Gale Harold). Bristol Palin supports her dancing partner

HollywoodNews.com: Although Bristol Palin’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ premiere is just a day away, it doesn’t mean she can’t take some time to support her dancing partner Mark Ballas with one of his endeavors.
Bristol showed up as Ballas was performing an acoustic set at Busbys in Los Angeles, reports Just Jared.
Luckily, the teen mom is also receiving support as she prepares for her big night. Her mom is reportedly very excited to see her dancing debut and is rumored to be in the audience on the first night. Bristol has opened up that her mom is her number one cheerleader all the time.

‘Jersey Shore’ star Snooki talks about past health problems

HollywoodNews.com: ‘Jersey Shore’ star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi seems to be pretty happy with herself these days, but that wasn’t always the case as she is now opening up about the body image problems she dealt with when she was younger.
Snooki has revealed in ‘Ok!’ magazine that she did go through a time when she was anorexic, “eating a cracker a day,” reports Hollyscoop. The reality TV star went through this eating disorder in part because she felt self-conscious on the cheerleading squad.
While she was afraid of younger, freshmen girls coming in and taking her spot, she eventually forced herself to get down to 80 pounds on her 4-foot, 9-inch frame.
Now, Snooki has a more positive outlook and is accepting of her body.

“Hellcats” Preview: Hot Bodies and Big Cheers

By Fred Topel
HollywoodNews.com: The fall TV season starts this week with the premiere of The CW’s new series Hellcats. The cheerleading show brings high energy performance to CW drama. I can see this making the cut. The setting is perfect for teen drama, but the excitement of the sport could appeal to people who wouldn’t normally watch The CW.
The cheer numbers are a thrill to watch. They get mighty acrobatic, and display grace and energy when they’re dancing on the ground. There are plenty of fit, toned bodies but I’m happy to see some natural looks in the background or bottom of the pyramids too. I love seeing softer girls be just as acrobatic and strong. They’re all gorgeous. My favorite is Patti (Elena Esovolova). I hope she’s in more of future episodes.
There are also lots of scenes of the squad working out, clad even more scantily than when they perform. So this is a sexy show full of sleek, shiny, sweaty bodies. It’s not gratuitous either. This squad is hardcore and you’ve got to see their training as well as their final performance. Okay, the scenes of ladies stretching in sports bras and shorts might be gratuitous, but it’s hot. To be fair, So You Think You Can Dance shows that too. They’ve got a shower scene too and they make it sexy, while prime time friendly.
The story of a young student struggling through school and the realities of tuition will be relatable to young audiences.  The idea of budget cuts for arts programs and cutthroat university sports could develop into dramatic weekly stories. More importantly, if the emphasis remains on lots of cheerleading, some training and a big number each week, it won’t matter what the story is. They don’t even get to the big performance this week, they save that for episode two.
I do appreciate the respect for cheerleaders. Marti (Aly Michalka) has a bad attitude to begin with. It’s played for sassy confrontation but there’s something real beneath it. It might be easy to dismiss cheerleaders, so the haters should learn to respect the talent that goes into this. The cattiness is a little too much, but there are also some nice moments of honesty.
When Marti practices to the DVD of Bring it On it’s a funny bit of pseudo-Flashdance, expressing her secret talent when the world wants her to conform. Also, if one night of solo [...]

Dakota Fanning manages to dominate Hollywood and high school

HollywoodNews.com: Dakota Fanning may be one of the biggest childhood stars, but she’s also been one of the few who has been able to make the transition from childhood to teen star.
Her latest role in “Twilight” has enabled her to work with Kristen Stewart who she tells People is “so fun.” She adds, “I’ve done a few movies with Kristen Stewart now, and she’s become one of my best friends, so it’s always fun to be with her. The cast is also fun and so nice and [we] have really become very close.”
In addition to filming scenes for top movies, she also manages to be on the varsity cheerleading team at school. She admits that she’s “lucky” to be able to do both and still get treated like a normal teen at school.
