Jennifer Lopez supposedly feeling the age difference with beau

HollywoodNews.com: Jennifer Lopez might be ready to move on from her much younger beau, Casper Smart, as it seems their age difference is finally starting to show.
It is rumored that Lopez is feeling a bit like his babysitter while he is out on tour with her as her choreographer, states RadarOnline. She is allegedly noticing that he likes to party with the other dancers during downtime while she prefers to keep things professional.
Lopez allegedly plans to finish out the tour with him, but once business is done it seems that things with their relationship may be up in the air. Lopez will be done touring at the end of August.

Jennifer Lopez on her kids wanting to enter show business one day

HollywoodNews.com: Jennifer Lopez has had a successful career in show business, but that doesn’t mean she is ready for her twins with Marc Anthony to go after the same career.
Lopez recently admitted that she would be more than supportive of her children if they chose to go into entertainment, but she won’t let them make that decision just yet, states RadarOnline.com.
“I don’t want them to be in the business at a young age. I just don’t think they need that burden, that pressure. They should have a normal life – go to school, play, grow up … If they want to go off and be artists or singers or dancers or pilots or architects or anything – then they have my full support,” Lopez commented.
However, she wouldn’t be too surprised if they do enter entertainment: “I can hear that Emme can sing. She loves to dance and will sit there for hours watching dance … She could be a choreographer. And I can see that Max is very comfortable in front of a camera.”

Jennifer Lopez’s choreographer: 2 months ago they were in love

HollywoodNews.com: It came as a shock when Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony announced they were splitting, something her choreographer also didn’t see coming.
Liz Imperio recently admitted she was surprised because when she saw them two months ago they seemed deeply in love, states People. “What they had wasn’t a put-on. It wasn’t for show. It was honest. They were really respectful of each other and loved each other – passionately,” Imperio said about the marriage.
And while they were reportedly affectionate while they prepared for ‘American Idol,’ Anthony was apparently a little concerned about Lopez’s image. “He said, ‘Don’t make her too sexy because she’s still my wife,’” Imperio revealed.

Derek Hough’s movie shows that dancing has taken off

By Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith
HollywoodNews.com: Yes, there are a lot of “Dancing With the Stars” fans missing popular pro Derek Hough this season. However, “He is off to Canada to film a movie, ‘Cobu 3D.’ He’s starring. He’s dancing and acting,” notes Julie McDonald of the dance romance in which Hough’s leading lady is Asian star BoA. “He wants to do other things, and this is a wonderful opportunity for him.”
Hough is among the elite group of dance talents represented by McDonald’s MSA agency — so she knows. The former dancer (whose own career was cut short by injury) has more than 20 years’ experience in working with dancers, stage director and choreographers, including “So You Think You Can Dance” choreography faves Napoleon and Tabitha Dumo. Tabitha and Napoleon happen to be choreographing “Cobu,” in addition to assignments like Fox’s “Mobbed” and “The Kids Choice Awards,” plus the new Alvin and the Chipmunks movie, “Chipwrecked.”
“People’s careers are extending longer and longer in dance,” McDonald observes, “but those who want to have even longer careers have to expand. Some go into choreography, some into acting. Then you see a lot of choreographers going into producing and directing, like Kenny Ortega, Adam Shankman and Rob Marshall.”
McDonald adds that today, with mass exposure including social networking making dance stars into household names, there are even more opportunities for branching out. “Dancers are often trendsetters. A lot of them are into fashion and design. Tabitha has a store,” she notes.
The explosion of dance and musical show popularity in recent years has made things both easier and more difficult for McDonald, a pioneer in exclusively representing terpsichorean types. The business, she notes, has become much more complicated — and crowded. “There are a lot more people out there calling themselves choreographers.”
Still, there’s obviously demand for the cream of the corps. In a sampling of McDonald’s clients, Swany (Mark Swanhart) is the choreographer for Celine Dion’s new Vegas show and Gilles Papain is their video designer. Sonya Tayeh is directing and choreographing Miley Cyrus’s new tour. Marguerite Derricks is choreographing Broadway’s Wonderland, and Jamie King is directing the forthcoming Michael Jackson Cirque du Soliel show with Travis Payne choreographing. That show is so huge, in fact, McDonald says that multiple choreographers are contributing their talents.

Natalie Portman’s ‘Black Swan’ dance double is upset

HollywoodNews.com: Natalie Portman has received awards and attention for her ‘Black Swan’ role, but one person is upset for not getting much credit when it comes to the dance that was done.
Sarah Lane was Portman’s dance double in the film and is upset that executives involved with the film allegedly wanted it to seem as if Portman did all the dance work, states UsMagazine.com. “They were trying to create this facade that she had become a ballerina in a year-and-a-half,” Lane said about allegedly not being able to speak about her work on the film.
However, Portman’s fiance and ‘Black Swan’ choreographer Benjamin Millepied told the LA Times a different story: “Honestly, 85% of that movie is Natalie,” adding that Lane only did footwork, the fouettes and one diagonal in the studio.

Holly Madison talks about weight gain, love of curves

HollywoodNews.com: Holly Madison was told to lose weight for her Las Vegas show ‘Peepshow,’ but the reality TV star loves her body as it is right now.
Madison reportedly told ‘Life & Style’ that she gained about 15 pounds after her move to Vegas and doesn’t feel bad about it, states The Huffington Post. “I’d rather be overweight and curvy than super thin with no curves,” Madison says about not worrying over it.
And while her choreographer has told her to lose weight, as has former ‘Playboy’ model Jayde Nicole, Madison doesn’t plan on changing: “I’ve always had a butt, and I want to keep it – cellulite and all. I’m not perfect, but I love my curves.”

Gilles Marini on ‘Brothers and Sisters,’ ‘Royal Pains’

By Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith
HollywoodNews.com: The question of whether there’ll be a sixth season of ABC’s “Brothers and Sisters” has yet to be decided — but some are already starting a letter writing campaign. That’s gratifying news to the show’s Gilles Marini, who points out, “I think the word as we speak is very positive. You know, the network does not have to tell us tomorrow, ‘Oh, you guys are picked up.’ There is time. They’ll crunch the numbers and see what their options are.
“I thank ABC/Disney for bringing us back for five seasons. That is extremely rare,” he continues. “I hope that the show goes on and on, but whenever it is the end, I’d like to hear, ‘Guys, this is the last season. Let’s ride it out the right way,’ and they allow us to close the storylines instead of abruptly stopping it.” The Frenchman, whose romantic Luc Laurent character, love of Rachel Giffiths’ Sarah Walker, has become a “Brothers & Sisters” mainstay, adds, “The fan base around the world is massive. The social network messages we get come from countries you’ve never even heard of before. It’s very rewarding, and all that much more reason you don’t want to make the fans feel somehow let down.”
He also points out, “We’ve been pretty steady in the ratings, even against monsters like the Grammys.”
Sexy Marini plays “a choreographer who is very hard-headed” — who comes down with a life-threatening illness — on the season finale episode of the USA Network’s “Royal Pains” Feb. 24. “Are they going to be able to save him?
Eh! “We’ll see,” says Marini. He reports he’s going to have a big viewing party at home for the event. “I think I’m going to invite Cheryl Burke and all my ‘Dancing With the Stars’ friends to come and check out my dancing on the show. We are working on the tango for her wedding when my character gets extremely ill.”
Coincidentally, Marini was already friendly with “Royal Pains” lead Mark Feuerstein before his casting. They shop at the same market in Studio City, he says, and “I see him there all the time. I think he met my wife before I met him, talking about food. I think we were by the tamales,” he jokes. [...]

Lady Gaga’s video for “Born This Way” will shock fans

HollywoodNews.com: While some thought Lady Gaga’s Grammy entrance lived up to expectations and others weren’t impressed, her music video for “Born This Way” will apparently be worth watching.
Gaga’s choreographer, Laurieanne Gibson, is revealing that the video is a “life-changing experience,” states MTV.
“You can expect the highest level of execution in vocal music art and dance … but you will be shocked,” Gibson said about the impact of the video.
Gibson was also involved in the creation of the idea of using a vessel for the Grammys, so one can only imagine what the video is like.
