Take this, for example. Anne Hathaway has been overshadowed a bit by all of this Tom Hardy talk, particularly because the recent “Rises” prologue focused heavily on Hardy’s Bane.

But in an interview with the L.A. Times, Hathaway tipped a little of Catwoman’s dialogue, and the paper of record described a scene that could be important. Steer clear if you want to avoid spoilers!!:

Gotham City is a war zone. A ruthless madman named Bane has ripped away any sense of security and the citizens, haggard and clutching suitcases with refugee anxiety, sit behind barbed wire waiting to see what will blow up next. A hooded prisoner is dragged in – it’s Bruce Wayne, one of Gotham’s most famous faces – but the eyes of the crowd go instead to the woman in black standing at the top of the staircase.

“Sorry to spoil things, boys, but Bane needs these guys himself,” says sultry Selina Kyle, played here by actress Anne Hathaway, navigating the steps with stiletto heels that, on closer inspection, turn out to have serrated edges capable of leaving nasty claw marks in a fight. She also wears high-tech goggles that, when not in use, flip up and resemble feline ears.

Does this imply that Catwoman, at least temporarily, works for Bane? There have been images of Hardy standing atop one of Batman’s military-grade cruisers. And, of course, that video of Catwoman piloting Batman’s motorcycle. Do they get into his “wonderful toys,” as the Joker might have said? We’re closer to finding out, but “Rises” still doesn’t hit until July. Can you wait? I the meantime, give the article a read. It’s well worth your time.

But Marc Webb’s “The Amazing Spider-Man,” another anticipated superhero thriller coming out Summer 2012, is attempting to wrestle back some of the spotlight by stepping up its marketing campaign. This morning, Sony has revealed the film’s official Web site, and it’s loaded with engaging content. Click here to check it out.

Instead of teasing fans with a barebones site, Sony wisely stocked the “Amazing” location with a gallery or images (most of which you’ve seen, if you have been paying attention), character bios, cast and crew information, and details on the story, which continue to hint at the fact that Peter Parker’s parents – played by Campbell Scott and Embeth Davidtz – will play a significant part of this origin story.

They also hint at sequels, promising that Webb’s film will be “the first in a series of movies that tells a different side of the Peter Parker story.”

Let’s hope so, because we’ve been through Spider-Man’s origin on screen before, and most of us will want to get to the Lizard (Rhys Ifans).

“Amazing” stars Andrew Garfield as everyone’s favorite wall-crawler, with Emma Stone as his teenage sweetheart, Gwen Stacy. The franchise reboot will be in theaters in July 3, 2012. I’m pasting the latest trailer below, but I’d love to see a new one (maybe with Lizard footage) soon:

The one-sheet shows Bane (Tom Hardy) walking away from a shattered mask with “The Legend Ends” in stark white lettering, alluding to Batman’s dismantling at the hands of Bane.

In the comics, Bane does battle with the Dark Knight and delivers the coup de grâce: Breaking Batman’s back and leaving him paraplegic.

What do you think? Will Bane break the Bat or will Nolan allow Bruce Wayne (and Warner Bros.) to continue on with the cape and cowl?

Specific details are forbidden – and really, you’ll want to be relatively unspoiled when you see the footage for yourself next week – but we can tell you that the prologue is very similar in nature to the bank heist that opened “The Dark Knight,” which served as an introduction to Batman’s chief antagonist, The Joker (Heath Ledger).

This time out, the intro takes place in a plane, and will set up Tom Hardy’s Bane, Batman’s foe in “Rises.” Though the sequences sound similar in nature, they’re vastly different and, according to all accounts, take full advantage of the IMAX technology Nolan used to film his anticipated sequel.

The prologue is not without fault, however.

The prevailing attitude after the screening suggested that Bane’s dialogue – perhaps due to Hardy’s accent, and perhaps due to the fact that the character wears a mask over his nose and mouth – was unintelligible.

Nolan did admit to the problem at a post-screening reception, telling THR that there are points in the movie where the viewer might not get every line. Expect the director to try and clean the audio up in post, however, or possibly bring Hardy back in to re-record lines that are inaudible.

For now, the “Rises” prologue will be attached to IMAX prints of Paramount’s “Mission: Impossible” on Dec. 16. And a full trailer for the film is expected to be released online later today. Stay tuned, Bat fans!

HollywoodNews.com: Fans may really enjoy Christian Bale as Batman, but they will only have one more film to enjoy him.

Bale recently revealed that he is done starring in the ‘Batman’ films, states UsMagazine.com. “I wrapped a few days ago so that will be the last time I’m taking that [Batman hood] off,” Bale commented.

And he isn’t the only one who is done: “Everything’s finished. It’s me and [director Christopher Nolan] — that will be the end of that Batman era.”

‘The Dark Knight Rises’ will reportedly be in theaters on July 20, 2012.

But that doesn’t mean “Rises” won’t shoot in the Wall Street district at all.

In fact, On Location Vacations is reporting that “Magnus Rex” – the bogus name Nolan’s been filming under when on location – will shoot a major scene in Wall Street that’s “expected to be more than 1000 extras used in the scene which will be set in a Gotham that has been taken over by Bane.”

“After months of chaos the cops return and the ‘good guys’ battle it out with the ‘bad guys’ for the streets of Gotham,” the site notes. “Tom Hardy and Christian Bale are both expected to be there in full costumes as Bane and Batman. It’s also rumored that they will begin rehearsing for the shoot in a couple day at Riis Park.”

I wonder if that’s similar to the street-level fighting we saw during visible Pittsburgh shooting over the summer. In addition, “Rises” plans to film in midtown Manhattan this week, occupying West 58th Street between 7th and 5th Ave. on Friday, Oct. 28.

Expect plenty of photos and set videos to reach the Web shortly after.

Not one to mess with tradition, Nolan appears ready to screen the opening minutes of his “The Dark Knight Rises” when “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” opens in theaters in December.

While “Impossible” is a Paramount movie (as opposed to Warner’s “Dark Knight”), Brad Bird’s Tom-Cruise-led sequel also utilizes IMAX technologies and is equipped to carry the footage Nolan is shooting for his sequel. SlashFilm, which broke the story, is saying that the footage will be a six-minute prologue, similar to the way clips were attached to the front of “I Am Legend” back in 2007.

It worked the first time, right? There’s no reason not to tease “Rises” for fans. Nolan isn’t giving anything away too early. And the notion that too many teases will hurt business down the road is ludicrous.

No doubt the “Dark Knight” fans planned to check out Bird’s “Impossible” sequel in theaters. This move could prompt many to pay extra to see it in IMAX, the way Nolan intends.

Or can you be patient and just see “The Dark Knight Rises” in its entirety next July?

Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises” is moving to New York City after highly-covered location shoots in London, Pittsburgh and Los Angeles, 24 Frames reports. And during the scheduled 14-day shoot, it’s being suggested that Nolan and his crew could film at the Occupy Wall Street protests and factor them into the story.

“While the person who’d been told of the plans said the protests could figure into the production, they said that doesn’t mean they will be included in the storyline,” the site reports. “In other words, Nolan, who’s known for carefully planning out scenes months in advance, wouldn’t necessarily be tweaking the script; he’d simply be using the protests as a backdrop or a stand-in for something that already exists in the film.”

So much of what we’ve seen from the “Rises” shoots have included bedlam in the streets. The Pittsburgh footage showed actual riots on the steps of City Hall (I believe). And that key footage shot from inside Pittsburgh’s Heinz Field showed Tom Hardy’s Bane inciting Gotham’s citizens to rise up and take back the city.

Could the Wall Street protestors be turned into Gotham protestors? Will Nolan’s presence at the demonstrations bring any more attention to the movement? Can Warner open “The Dark Knight Rises” a few months earlier? Because I’d really like to see it.

HollywoodNews.com: First off, the various articles all chiming with SHOCK that Chris Nolan is at the top of Warner Bros’ list to helm a new Twilight Zone Movies is pretty funny. OF COURSE Chris Nolan is on the top of Warner’s list for this project. I’m pretty sure he’s on the top of the list for every single project at Warner Bros, including a Sex and the City prequel and whatever variation on Valentine’s Day and New Year’s Eve they trot out next year (Halloween? Oh wait…). Saying that Chris Nolan is the preferred choice to direct anything at Warner Bros. is like saying that the connoisseurs at Ruth Chris would prefer to have a fillet as opposed to chicken or ribs. He’s the studio’s most valuable resource, and he has delivered the critical and commercial goods on a shockingly consistent level. So it stands to reason that he’s at the top of the list for any project that Warner deems a high priority.

Second of all, it is not a little depressing that Chris Nolan is basically being courted to do a feature-length version of a long-beloved TV show. Wasn’t Christopher Nolan supposed to be the great white hope in the realm of big-budget original filmmaking? I like his films as much as the next nerd, but since Memento, he’s helmed a remake of a foreign film, a comic book trilogy, an adaptation of a novel (arguably his best film and arguably counting as ‘original’ as defined by the movie gods), and a genuinely original science-fiction thriller. Oh, and he’s also producing yet-another comic book reboot and possibly getting involved in yet-another Howard Hughes biopic. So while a Twilight Zone movie could provide the best of both worlds (an original genre film hidden inside a safe brand name), it is disconcerting that one of the more talented filmmakers is again jumping on the franchise train.

Aside from that, I do believe that Warner Bros is missing a massive opportunity here. The articles list Michael Bay, Alfonso Cuaron, and Rupert Wyatt as also being on the mythical ‘short-list’. Well, here’s a not-so novel idea. Instead of just doing one feature-length film that “touches on several themes from the Rod Sterling TV show…”, Warner Bros. should just let them all run wild. If you recall, the first Twilight Zone movie, released in 1983, had four 20-30 minute segments helmed by Steven Spielberg, John Landis, Joe Dante, and George Miller. Whatever Chris Nolan (or whomever gets picked) can cook up in 120 minutes, I personally would be far more intrigued at the idea of four or five major directors all taking their shot at a Twilight Zone segment.

In Jonathan Levine’s film, which opens in theaters this Friday, Sept. 30, Gordon-Levitt plays Adam, an NPR editor diagnosed with cancer. The title refers to Adam’s odds of survival, though he receives tremendous support from his best friend (Seth Rogen), his pretty therapist (Anna Kendrick) and his worried mother (Anjelica Huston).

Gordon-Levitt will be on hand that evening to accept the award in person. His bio is below:

Joseph Gordon-Levitt will next be seen in “50/50,” a comedy directed by Jonathan Levine that stars Seth Rogen, Anna Kendrick and Bryce Dallas Howard. He will then star in the action thriller “Premium Rush,” directed by David Koepp, who also co-wrote the script. He recently wrapped production on “Looper,” for which he reunited with his “Brick” director, Rian Johnson, and will star opposite Bruce Willis and Emily Blunt. He is currently in production on “The Dark Knight Rises,” the third and final installment in the Batman series, which will be directed by Christopher Nolan. Gordon-Levitt was also recently cast as Robert Todd Lincoln in the film “Lincoln” alongside Daniel Day-Lewis and Tommy Lee Jones, which will be directed by Steven Spielberg.

Gordon-Levitt’s additional film credits include Christopher Nolan’s Academy Award-nominated action-drama “Inception,” “Hesher,” “(500) Days of Summer,” “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra,” “Miracle at St. Anna,” “Stop-Loss,” “The Lookout,” “Killshot,” “Shadowboxer,” “Brick; “Mysterious Skin,” and “Manic. Early in his career, Gordon-Levitt won a Young Artist Award for his first major role, in Robert Redford’s drama “A River Runs Through It.” He went on to co-star in “Angels in the Outfield,” “The Juror,” “Halloween H20,” and “10 Things I Hate About You.”
