See Whitney Houston’s REAL Will: Outdated version is ran by news outlets

By Roger Friedman
HollywoodNews.com: “Inside Edition” and The New York Post sparked a frenzy on Wednesday night. They ran an outdated version of Whitney Houston’s will. We have the right one, with the 2004 codicil and all the changes Houston made to the Will. It’s posted right now at http://blogs.forbes.com/rogerfriedman/. It’s really embarrassing, too, because I posted the news of the updated Will around 7pm and the codicil exclusively a couple of hours later with a statement from Whitney’s lawyer, Kenneth Meiselas. The other news organizations also did not know that today in Atlanta, the Houston went into probate court and named Pat Houston, Whitney’s sister in law and manager, as executor. Mother Cissy Houston is now a trustee. But on the Forbes site you can read the codicil and see the statement. If the 2000 codicil had stood, Whitney’s other sister-in-law, Donna Houston, and her husband, Michael, would have been trustees and Whitney’s old lawyer, Sheldon Platt, would have been the executor. That’s the way “Inside Edition” and the Post have it.

Whitney Houston’s will reportedly revealed

HollywoodNews.com: Whitney Houston’s will has reportedly been revealed, and in what is not exactly shocking, it seems her daughter will be receiving pretty much everything.
Houston’s will was reportedly filed in a court in Atlanta, Georgia that allegedly revealed Bobbi Kristina will be getting most of her mother’s former possessions, states RadarOnline.com.
Bobbi Kristina will reportedly receive some stuff now while much of the money will be in a trust that she will have access to as she gets older.
The executors of the will and estate were reportedly Whitney’s mother, Cissy Houston, her brother Gary and her sister-in-law, Pat Houston.

Whitney Houston Mystery: Michael Jackson and Whitney Had a Curious Friend in Common

By Roger Friedman
HollywoodNews.com: Here’s the one person in the Whitney Houston story whose name you have not heard, and who has remained a mystery: a Dutch man from Amsterdam who goes by the name of Raffles van Exel. He is also known – in court records—as Raffles Dawson and Raffles Benson. He was on the fourth floor of the Beverly Hilton Hotel in one of Houston’s suites when she died. He appeared downstairs in the lobby shortly thereafter, wearing aviator sunglasses, sobbing.
As usual, he had an entourage in tow, including Quinton Aaron, the actor who played the football player in “The Blind Side.” Raffles, in one of his many PR Newswire releases, recently announced that he’s producing movies with Aaron. It’s just one of many ventures he announces regularly. For someone who has no obvious means of support, he is a regular on PR Newswire and You Tube. On the latter, you can find him interviewing friends of Michael Jackson. It is assumed that he sells stories to tabloids. He regularly includes names of tabloid reporters like Kevin Frazier of “The Insider” on his Tweets.
Despite the shock of Whitney’s death, Raffles still made it downstairs to Clive Davis’s party. He was dressed in formal wear, had Whitney’s tickets in his hand, and intended to sit at her table. Just inside the ballroom he was comforted by celebrities to whom he related his story—“I found Whitney.” Gayle King hugged him. Quincy Jones listened patiently to his story. A security guard told me later, “Well, he was up there.” He was also hanging around with Houston all week prior to her death. On Tuesday when she emerged from a nightclub, looking disheveled, Raffles appears in a photograph on TMZ like a deer in headlights. He is standing right behind her in a powder blue suit. On Twitter, he wrote: “STOP reading the stupid blogs.. Whitney had a great time, she looked amazing. Nothing was wrong, it was just DAMN hot in that club.”
But who is Raffles van Exel? He’s one of Hollywood’s mysteries. I first met him in 2005 hanging around the Jackson family during Michael Jackson’s child molestation trial. After Michael went abroad, Raffles was often seen with Michael’s father, Joseph Jackson. He trades on being an “insider” when there’s a scandal. No one really knows him, but he’s always where there’s action and celebrities. On the internet he [...]

Whitney Houston’s Mother Cissy Houston – Who is she?

By Roger Friedman
HollywoodNews.com: Last night on either “ET” or its miserable sidekick “The Insider,” Cissy Houston–Whitney’s mother–was identified as a former Elvis Presley backup singer. Just so you know as you watch the funeral tomorrow, Cissy Houston is one of those great unheralded R&B stories.
She had a group called the Sweet Inspirations. More importantly than singing with Elvis, the Sweet Inspirations had their own hits. They also sang back up on most of Aretha Franklin’s classic hits in 1967 and 1968. It’s Cissy’s high note counterpointing Aretha’s amazing record, “Ain’t No Way.” Later Cissy sang back up on lots of hit records including Linda Ronstadt’s “Heart Like a Wheel” album and Bette Midler’s “The Divine Miss M.”
The Sweet Inspirations are also heard on countless top 10 hits, many of them from Atlantic Records during its heyday. The early members of the group included Cissy’s niece Dee Dee Warwick (Dionne’s gifted sister) and Doris Troy (“Just One Look”), sister of Vy Higginsen. “Cissy” Emily Drinkard was a member of her family’s gospel group, the Drinkards. Her eldest sister was the mother of Dionne and Dee Dee.When I first met Whitney, it was with Cissy and her ex husband John; they were divorced when Whitney was 16.
I think I annoyed Whitney a little because I was so in awe of meeting her mother. Cissy and John spent countless hours on the road, touring, and in recording sessions. Their life before Whitney hit it big was hard. It’s impossible to imagine the grief Cissy is suffering now.

Whitney Houston is not yet buried and the money vultures are already out

By Roger Friedman
HollywoodNews.com: Whitney Houston is dead and the money making has begun. The people close to her–just like those “close” to Michael Jackson– are selling their wares to the highest bidders. This accounts for the constant and incorrect stories appearing on TMZ, Radar Online, The National Enquirer, and the syndicated “entertainment” shows. And let’s not forget the networks, which “license” footage–another way of saying “paying for an interview.”
Anyone who knew Whitney or was related to her will try now to make some quick cash and become an “expert” on her leading up to her funeral. Kudos to Cissy Houston and Dionne Warwick for smartly putting the funeral in a small church, with no big public fiesta. The Jacksons, lest we forget, staged a memorial at the Staples Center, then held a big reception. It took them six more weeks to have an actual “funeral” that was televised.
But that doesn’t mean that Whitney doesn’t have her vultures. She supported a lot of people for a long time financially. Now they will panic. The gravy train has come to its last stop. Since Saturday, the tabloid websites have run conflicting stories, claiming one thing, then claiming the opposite. My favorite lately is TMZ’s assertion that the suite where Whitney died was already being rented out at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. They also claimed to have a picture of the bathtub “minutes” after Whitney died in it. Believe not a word on these websites. All the info is coming from “insiders” for cash.
One insider told me tonight he had 248 messages from media outlets. Another is being stalked by paparazzi. I feel terrible for the people at that New Hope Baptist Church. They’re going to have a lot of trouble on their hands the day of that funeral. After all, “ET”–the grossest of all the TV shows–has already run a picture of “Whitney’s body bag.” You can only imagine what’s next on their agenda.

Whitney Houston’s family was reportedly split on funeral location

HollywoodNews.com: It seems the reported decision to hold Whitney Houston’s funeral in New Jersey was one that caused a little disagreement among her family.
While most of her family reportedly wanted her funeral to take place in Newark, New Jersey where she grew up, her mom, Cissy Houston, and Dionne Warwick reportedly though Atlanta was a better choice, states TMZ.
Cissy and Dionne reportedly felt like Atlanta was where Whitney had the best time and felt at home.
However, the two allegedly gave in and are allowing for Whitney to be buried at a local church where she attended as a child.
Where did you think she should be buried?
