HollywoodNews.com: Although they had problems in the past, it seems that Tori Spelling would still be up for helping her former ’90210′ castmate with her wedding plans.

Shannen Doherty is all set to wed and will even have a TV special about it, states UsMagazine.com. “I’ll do the wedding … She has great taste, I know that,” Spelling said about being able to help out if needed.

Spelling has already planned a number of weddings for TV on her show ‘Tori & Dean: sTORIbook Weddings.’

HollywoodNews.com: ‘Real Housewives of New York City’ star Countess LuAnn de Lesseps got quite the compliment as she spoke at the NYU College of Nursing graduation.

De Lesseps has a nursing degree and credits it for much of her success as a model, states RadarOnline.com. “I worked part time as a nurse when I was scouted to model, and I am convinced I got many of my jobs because I was not just a waitress,” de Lesseps said after giving her keynote speech.

De Lesseps also revealed that she was chosen as the speaker in part due to all the charity work she does: “I met the Dean of the NYU College of Nursing and she just loved all the humanitarian work that I do and so she asked me to be the keynote speaker.”

Turns out, that’s not the only casting news coming from Jackson’s camp.

Using Facebook to make the announcement, Jackson revealed that New Zealand actor Dean O’Gorman will now be playing Fili. In addition, actor Lee Pace has been added to the ensemble.

Dean O’Gorman will be playing Fili. Dean’s a terrific Kiwi actor, who I am thrilled to be working with. He’s recently been in an excellent TV series down here called “The Almighty Johnsons”, and I should let fans of that show know that our shooting schedule allows Dean to continue with a second series next year. Dean will be joining us next week.

I’m also pleased to announce that Lee Pace will be playing the Elven King Thranduil. Casting these Tolkien stories is very difficult, especially the Elven characters, and Lee has always been our first choice for Thranduil. He’s going to be great. We loved his performance in a movie called “The Fall” a few years ago, and have been hoping to work with him since. When we were first discussing who would be right for Thranduil, Lee came into mind almost immediately.

It’s been a great week, and I’m looking forward to the next few. It’s going to be interesting…

HollywoodNews.com: Will adventurous, tradition-busting themed weddings bloom into vogue in coming months? They will if Tori Spelling’s and Dean McDermott’s hopes for their forthcoming “Tori & Dean: sTORIbook Weddings” show come to pass. “I think a lot of weddings that planners throw are very cookie-cutterish,” Tori complains. “They’re all the same after awhile.”

The weddings she and Dean help put on in their April 6-debuting Oxygen series are anything but same old, same old.

“My favorite was, we did a Marie Antoinette wedding — a party, a ball. This couple was very into fashion. We did it at the Vibiana downtown, which was great because the architecture there allowed us to do a cool modern take on the theme, which is all about abundance and excess,” says Tori, who certainly is one to know of such things.

Dean says his favorite was “The steampunk wedding we did at the Edison (Lounge, also in Downtown Los Angeles). It’s Victorian age-meets-Industrial Revolution….We had aerial acrobats as entertainment.”

Tori and Dean insist that their weddings were carried out on surprisingly modest budgets, though she declines to give figures. “I don’t know if we’re supposed to say. Our wedding budgets vary, but none of them were extravagant. We’re not like other wedding shows where they rely on big budgets. Dean and I made everything ourselves, and we have favors we can call in from florists, jewelers and other businesses.” Not to mention those no doubt lining up to offer their goods and services for promotional considerations.

Of course, there are those who will assume that once the cameras were turned off, Tori and Dean put down their staple guns and headed home while their people got the job done.

“We do all the work,” she responds firmly. “For the Indian wedding we did, I think the night before we were up ’til 3 a.m., literally dressing the room for a 10 a.m. wedding. I’m such a micro manager and a control freak, I’d never let anyone do it for me. I never believe anyone else would do as good a job.”

She admits, “It was hard, doing the eight weddings in the time period we had. That was our lives. The kids came with us and stayed at the hotels where we working. They got used to it. Now they want to stay at hotels all the time…They’re highly socialized.”

The McDermott’s children — Liam, 4 and Stella, 2 — lent their little hands as well. “Stella loves filling favor bags,” says Dean. Liam suggests Spider-man red and blue balloons for pretty much every wedding, according to his mom and dad.

Tori and Dean renewed their vows last May in Beverly Hills (counteracting rumors of trouble in their marriage). She says the event “was actually one of the reasons we thought of doing this show.”

“I want to do it every year,” says Dean.

Tori says she has mixed feelings about the show focusing on each wedding couple’s love stories, family dramas and surprises — when she’d like to have more lingering shots of her own handiwork. But there’s a remedy for that. ”

“I have my first party planning book coming out Oct. 26: CelebraTORI,” she says. Of course. The best-selling memoirist also has another autobiographical tome on the way for 2012.

AN OPEN BOOK: Leah Remini says she has no regrets about comments she’s made about her family life, her husband or other personal matters on her “The Talk” show with Julie Chen, Holly Robinson Peete, Sharon Osbourne and Sara Gilbert. “I’m not worried about it. If we’re not going to reveal ourselves, we’re not going to be different from anyone else,” she says. The former “King of Queens” leading lady does admit it’s been a challenge getting used to working live.

“On a sitcom, if you make a mistake, they stop tape and go back. With this, you’re live and being yourself, and whatever you say is out there. I obsess about saying the wrong things. And I’m the kind of person who, if 100 people give me compliments and one says something negative, oh, my God I’m crushed.” She does not, however, give credence to haters on the internet. That kind of rampaging negativity “is an act of cowardice. It’s a cowardly world we’re living in, where people talk a lot of crap on the internet — anonymously — and say things they’d never have the nerve to say to someone’s face.”

THE HORSEY SET: Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa were on hand to cheer daughter Jessica during the $230,000 Grand Prix at Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL, where the Step By Step Foundation hosted the 2nd annual “All in for Charity” benefit poker tournament. Equestrian Hillary Dobbs, wearing a gorgeous floor length dress that covered her knee brace, was one of the five females to make up charity founder Liliane Stransky’s poker team, but her dad Lou Dobbs was stuck back East getting ready for the debut of his show on Fox Business News.

HollywoodNews.com: Justin Bieber seems to have kept his modesty despite the money he is making and the millions of fans he has at the young age of 16.

Songwriter Ester Dean has been working with Bieber lately on his ‘Never Say Never’ soundtrack and is amazed at how humble the teen is, states PopEater. When opening up about when they first met, Dean revealed Bieber’s demeanor: “He was like, ‘Oh my God … I’m such a fan of your songwriting!’ And I’m like, ‘You’re a fan? [laughs] I’m a fan of your music!’”

And apparently Bieber is nothing but great to get to work with: “He’s a very talented guy. He was very easy to work with and was very nice.”

However, when he awakens, he discovers he isn’t dealing with aliens, but fairies! Unfortunately, only Dean can see the fairy that keeps attacking him which makes tracing and stopping them difficult. The brothers become even more perplexed when Sam’s investigation leads them to a world full of elves, gnomes and a leprechaun.

HollywoodNews.com: Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams’ new film “Blue Valentine” has just released the poster for the film that also stars Mike Vogel, John Doman, and Faith Wladyka.

“Blue Valentine” is an intimate, shattering portrait of a disintegrating marriage.

On the far side of a once-passionate romance, Cindy (Michelle Williams) and Dean (Ryan Gosling) are married with a young daughter. Hoping to save their marriage, they steal away to a theme hotel. We then encounter them years earlier, when they met and fell in love—full of life and hope.

The sequel, filmed in 3-D, will reach theaters in 2013. The original vocal cast will return, including Jay Baruchel, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, T.J. Miller and Kristen Wiig.

The second chapter to the critically acclaimed 2010 blockbuster, How to Train Your Dragon – which has grossed nearly $500 million at the worldwide box office – will again feature the all-star voice talents of Jay Baruchel, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, TJ Miller and Kristen Wiig.

The sequel is being made under the creative guidance of Dean DeBlois, Chris Sanders, and Bonnie Arnold. It is written and directed by DeBlois and produced by Arnold. Once again based on the book series by Cressida Cowell, the sequel is executive produced by Sanders and DeBlois.

“How to Train Your Dragon” is a blockbuster, so a sequel was inevitable. It has earned $217.5 million domestically to date, and $492M worldwide. Expect that audience to increase once it’s released on DVD and Blu-ray on Oct. 15.

HollywoodNews.com: “Community’s” Yvette Nicole Brown heads to Ohio this weekend, where she will be honored with a Distinguished Alumna Award from her real-life alma-mater, the University of Akron. She’ll also speak to students there. The school could not have made a better choice.

Besides her talent for being funny, the sparkling personality has a gift for encouraging others in their dreams – and is a walking testimonial to the power of hard work and education. While attending UA on scholarship, she worked in the dean’s office, pledged a sorority, served as a school ambassador and led campus tours, was a radio DJ — and carried a full load.

These days she’s still working hard (“Community” returns for its new season tonight), but certainly has more financial leeway than back in college days. She can, for instance, indulge her penchant for Muppets.

HollywoodNews.com: LeAnn Rimes recently ended her marriage of six years to Dean Sheremet after having an affair with Eddie Cibrian in 2008 as they were shooting a Lifetime movie, and now she’s talking about what she went through during that time.

Rimes admits that her relationship with Dean was “great,” but that because they were so young when they got married – Rimes was 19 – they soon grew apart, reports UsMagazine.com. However, Rimes admits that even though they were no longer working well together, she didn’t go about ending the relationship in the best way.

She also understands why her fans had a difficult time accepting how she handled things “especially since [she] grew up as America’s sweetheart.”

Now, she finds that she has learned from the experience and gained strength because of that difficult time: “I know I can face anything.”
