First look at Johnny Depp in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean 4′

HollywoodNews.com: Captain Jack Sparrow is back! Disney is barely a month into production on ‘Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides’, but already two new photos have been released of Johnny Depp reprising his role as the savvy captain on set in Hawaii.
‘Stranger Tides’ is directed by Rob Marshall (a first-time director for the franchise) and additionally stars Geoffrey Rush returning as the sometime-villainous Captain Barbossa along with several newcomers including Penelope Cruz, Gemma Ward, and Ian McShane. The plot reportedly centers around the infamous pirate Blackbeard and the legendary Fountain of Youth. Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom will not be returning.
How excited are we for a fourth trip out to sea with the worst pirate we’ve ever heard of (but we have heard of him)? When will we get a peek at Cruz or McShane in character? Should a fourth film rightfully even exist at all? Regardless, it hits theaters on May 20, 2011.

Michael Jackson’s son may have same skin disease

By Andy Pemberton
HollywoodNews.com: New pictures reveal that the eldest son of Michael Jackson, Prince Michael, could have the same skin disease as his dad.
The 13 year old revealed white patches under his arm while on a recent holiday to Hawaii with his siblings Paris, 12 and Prince Michael II, eight.
While it could just be a result of exposure to the sun, it looked more serious than just peeling skin.
Vitiligo is a hereditary skin condition whioch discolours the face and the body. Jackson blamed the disease for the gradual lightening of his own skin over the years. Critics claimed he intentionally bleached his skin.

Jackson Kids Go to Hawaii with Cousins, Not Official Guardians

By Roger Friedman
hollywoodnews.com: Michael Jackson’s kids–Prince, Paris, and Michael–are on a fun filled vacation in Hawaii.
However: they are not with their guardian, grandmother Katherine Jackson. She’s been busy in Indiana and in Beverly Hills commemorating the anniversary of Michael’s death.
So who’s with the kids? Their cousins, the sons of Tito Jackson, Taj and Taryll Jackson, and some bodyguards. Almost 37 and 35 years olld, the pair of cousins are fast becoming Michael’s kids surrogate dads, or big brothers. (Tito Jackson had his kids young–he’s only 56.)
The trip, which costs hundreds of thousands of dollars, is being paid for their father’s estate. And while no one begrudges the kids a vacation, it does raise the question in their custody: where are the adults?
The tabloids were so excited to get pictures of the kids, none of them stopped to ask what the heck was going on.

Not even nanny Grace Rwaramba is with them.

Megan Fox says she’s “even more committed” to Brian

HollywoodNews.com: Megan Fox already announced the news that she is engaged to Brian Austin Green earlier this week. Then today, she claimed that they’ve been engaged for four years, and that their recent trip to Hawaii wasn’t really a “re-engagement.”
However, now she has admitted to People saying, “we’re just even more committed to each other than we always have been. I’m more in love with him now than I was in the beginning.”
She still claims that it’s not a “re-engagement” and doesn’t understand why now it’s a news story.

Megan Fox claims she’s been engaged for 4 years

HollywoodNews.com: Just a couple of days ago news broke that Megan Fox got engaged to on and off again boyfriend Brian Austin Green. In a swirl of events on the beach, she managed to lose the 2 carat ring that the couple had picked out in Beverly Hills.
However, Fox has now told Hollyscoop that, she’s “been engaged for four years.”
Four years? That’s quite some time, considering there were reports of them breaking up and getting back together so often. She adds that their trip to Hawaii was “really not a re-engagement… nothing is different. I’ve been engaged for four years.”
Whatever their story is, we hope that they are both happy.

Avatar’s CCH Pounder returns to Warehouse 13

By Fred Topel
CCH Pounder may be best known for her heartbreaking and powerful role on TV’s The Shield. She helped make cinema history by playing the Na’Vi queen Moat in Avatar, the biggest movie of all time.
Pounder comes back to television with her recurring role on Syfy’s Warehouse 13.
“We’ve already started back,” Pounder said at an Earth Day event for Avatar’s DVD release on the 20th Century Fox backlot. “I’m already back. I just came in this weekend to chat with you guys.”
Warehouse 13 casts Pounder as Mrs. Frederic, the mysterious boss of the warehouse of mythical artifacts. New episodes keep Mrs. Frederic’s mystery alive.
“Do you know, she’s the only character that they don’t give a legend to. When I arrive, I kind of go, ‘What am I? Am I a hologram? Am I a real person? What am I?’ They kind of go, ‘They haven’t decided yet.’ So they’ve been playing with the character. So far it’s fun for me but it’s still a mystery.”
In its second season, Warehouse 13 has not yet made Pounder a regular cast member, but they have her for a good chunk of episodes. “I won’t be a regular but as many as I can do, I will. This year I believe it’s seven.”
Science fiction is the current trend for Pounder. She actually did an X-Files episode and Robocop 3 in the ‘90s, but those are overshadowed by her recent genre work. “I guess things happen in sort of cycles. I’ve done a series of women of authority, policewomen and judges and lawyers. That seemed to be a big part of my life. Before I was crackhead selling moms, weepy, crying, held hostage, miserable little women. That seems to be over. So now I seem to be in the realm of fantasy.”
Pounder has no preference. It just happens that right now the worlds of the future are keeping her gainfully employed. “I’m an old time lover of acting and I’m not a personality, I’m never going to be Kim Kardashian but I am going to be CCH Pounder. I’m happy with it. I’m really happy with the fact that I’m an actor who’s acting.”
With Avatar breaking records as the biggest movie of all time, everyone assumes there will be a sequel. Pounder can go Na’Vi again, using the performance capture technology that James Cameron pioneered.

Alex O’Loughlin on co-starring with Jennifer Lopez on “The Backup Plan

By Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith
There are two things you’re not going to hear from hunky Aussie actor Alex O’Loughlin. One is whether or not he wears a suit and tie as the new Steve McGarrett of CBS’s updated “Hawaii Five-0” series. The other is anything negative about his “The Backup Plan” leading lady, Jennifer Lopez.
Given that the Friday 4/23)-opening romantic comedy is a big screen Big Break for the former “Moonlight” and “The Shield” actor, and we’re seeing his handsome puss all over billboards and buses, it would be pretty surprising if he dissed La Lopez, who has been notorious for her diva ways in the past. But he goes so far as to tell us, “It’s surprising to hear it mentioned as much as I have because she was perfect — on set, and off. It’s difficult to imagine the woman I know and worked with fitting this description. I found her selfless, always thinking about the people around her. Professional. A great, hands-on mother as well. If you’re looking for dirt, you’re not going to find it here.”
O’Loughlin notes that Lopez had her two-year-old boy and girl on the set of the feature, in which she plays a single woman who decides to have a baby via sperm donor, only to fall in love when she is already pregnant. “I didn’t know her before the twins, so I hesitate to guess, but I would imagine that this is the final element in her life that makes her the woman she was destined to be. Children are the ultimate definition of who we are as humans, after all,” says the single actor. “She’s amazing.”
