Where in the world is Kristen Stewart? New Photos

Where in the world is Kristen Stewart?
According to Deadline, Stewart just cut a deal in Berlin to appear alongside Jim Sturgess and Elizabeth Banks in “The Big Shoe,” a new film from director Steven Shainberg.
In addition, MTV.com also says that Kristen Stewart has been “fairly busy signing onto a steady stream of new projects. She recently joined ‘Focus,’ a romantic comedy-thriller that was supposed to co-star Ben Affleck until scheduling problems caused his exit, and now we have word coming out of the Berlin International Film Festival that Stewart as found another new role.”
We love Kirsten and wish her all the best. Enjoy the photos below.

Jane Campion to head up the Cinéfondation and Short Film Jury of the 66th Cannes Film Festival

Director, Jane Campion, is to head up the Cinéfondation and Short Film Jury of the 66th Cannes Film Festival, taking over the role from Jean-Pierre Dardenne, Michel Gondry, Hou Hsiao Hsien, Martin Scorsese and John Boorman.
From New Zealand, Jane Campion stood out from her earliest works: in 1986 she won short film Palme d’or for Peel and garnered the interest of critics internationally for Sweetie, the first feature she presented in competition at the Festival de Cannes. After An Angel at my Table, she returned to Cannes with The Piano, which won the Palme d’or in ’93, as well as the best actress award for Holly Hunter.

Hollywood Parties Before Golden Globe Awards

Exclusive: Last night, despite the relatively freezing cold weather, the Hollywood gang managed to make the rounds at what seemed like dozens of parties along Sunset Blvd from Chateau Marmont to the Beverly Hills Hotel. (It’s funny how many fur jackets have started popping up even though it’s usually 80 degrees here!)
At the Beverly Hills Hotel–where Ben Affleck was being honored by Cinema for Peace and Justice for his work in the Eastern Congo–Steven Spielberg told me what happened with “Robopocalypse,” the film he was supposed to make that just got postponed. First of all, he’s not going to make another film instead. “I don’t have anything else,” Spielberg said. “I looked at Robopocalypse and realized it just needed a new script. We know now what the story should be, so we’ll rewrite the script. And make it.”
Meanwhile the lobby of the grand BHH was filled with musicians and others whom Affleck has worked with in his efforts to enlighten the world about the plight of Congo. Several celebrs showed up to help him out including two sensational actresses whom we don’t see enough of– our old friend Alfre Woodard and Thandie Newton. The “Argo” director was still fielding kudos from his win Thursday night at the Critics Choice Awards for Best Director and Best Film.
Then over to Chateau Marmont for W Magazine’s annual Hollywood issue party. “Say it’s the party of the night,” joked host Lynn Hirshberg, but we didn’t need much prodding. We took the elevator to the sixth floor penthouse with Dev Patel and Freida Pinto–they’re still together and charming as ever some five years after “Slumdog Millionaire.” In Hollywood, that’s a lifetime. Lovely!
Remember the famous scene from the Marx Brothers’ ‘A Night at the Opera” where everyone’s stuffed into a small stateroom? Well, that’s what the W party is like every year and that’s what makes the W party so much fun. Bradley Cooper is cheek by jowl with Hayden Panitierre, and Helena Bonham Carter comes rolling with Homeland star Damien Lewis and his famous British actress wife Helena Bonham Carter. Catherine Keener gets introduced to Christoph Waltz, and Eddie Redmayne is on the wide balcony surrounded by beautiful young things. Not too far away is Chelsea Handler with her boyfriend Andre Balazs, who owns the swanky Chateau, and so on. “On the Road” stars Kirsten Dunst and Garrett Hedlund look like a million bucks. […]

Mark Ruffalo: New Yorkers Against Fracking

The Incredible Hulk and the leader of 10,000 Maniacs are getting together to protest fracking. Actor Mark Ruffalo and singer Natalie Merchant are leading a group to Albany this Wednesday to register their anti-fracking feelings with Governor Andrew Cuomo. They’re planning an all out campaign to appear at Cuomo’s State of the State Address. You can read about it at www.nyagainstfracking.org.
”Fracking” has become a hot button issue, especially in New York and Pennsylvania, along what’s known as the Marcellus Shale. Actors Matt Damon and John Krasinski have been drawn into the war because of their new movie, “Promised Land.” The documentary, “Gasland,” was the first to address the dangers of fracking in farm lands. My own thought, is you don’t fish in your own pond. It’s as simple as that. Both Ruffalo and Merchant live in the area, so it’s important to them.
Here’s what they say:
The New Yorkers Against Fracking coalition is calling on all New Yorkers to come to Albany for a rally to keep fracking out of our beloved state. We will take our message right to the Governor as we gather outside the annual State of the State Address, delivered by Andrew Cuomo.
We’ve never needed your voices more than now. On November 29th, the Department of Environmental Conservation took the reckless step of releasing draft rules and regulations that would sanction the process of fracking in New York State, thus setting the clock ticking on a decision-making process that, absent our intervention, could lead to permits in early 2013. Never mind that the environmental impact statement (sGEIS) that is supposed to serve as a scientific foundation of those regulations has not been released to the public. Never mind that the unfinished health “review” that is supposed to sit at the heart of the sGEIS is shrouded in secrecy. Never mind that the work of the health study is being carried out by three outside experts who are contracted for a mere 25 hours–three days–of their time. Never mind that Governor Cuomo said NO to New York’s own physicians and scientists who have demanded a transparent, comprehensive health impact assessment.
Let’s tell the Governor that everything about this process is wrong: it is backward, undemocratic, hasty, and irrational. A secret, 25-hour health review? Shockingly inadequate. An industry-influenced sGEIS? Fatally flawed. And cart-before-the-horse rulemaking? Un-fracking-believable.

Marion Cotillard to be nominated for “Best Actress” for her performance in “Rust and Bone”

Our friend and one of our favorite actresses, Marion Cotillard, is on her way to be nominated for “Best Actress” for her performance in “Rust and Bone.” This coming January 10th the Academy Awards will announce the nominees for the Oscars. We strongly believe that Marion will be one of them.
Oscar® winner Marion Cotillard is internationally renowned for her unbridled commitment to her art, challenging herself with each new role.
Cotillard is starring in Jacques Audiard’s “Rust and Bone,” alongside Matthias Schoenaerts, Bouli Lanners and Céline Sallette. The film was co-written by Jacques Audiard and Thomas Bidegain and adapted from the acclaimed book of short stories by Craig Davidson.
Cotillard recently wrapped production on director and co-writer James Gray’s “Untitled James Gray Project,” starring opposite Joaquin Phoenix and Jeremy Renner. The film focuses on ‘Ewa Cybulska,’ (Cotillard) and her sister, ‘Magda,’ who sail to Ellis Island in the early twentieth century, only to be separated when Magda falls ill. With nowhere to go, ‘Ewa’ quickly falls prey to ‘Bruno’ (Phoenix), a charming but wicked man who forces her to perform in his nightly burlesque show. There she encounters the dazzling ‘Orlando the Magician’ (Renner), who sweeps her off her feet and may be her only chance to reunite with her sister and escape the nightmare. Additionally, she also completed production on Guillaume Canet’s “Blood Ties” opposite Clive Owen, Billy Crudup, Mila Kunis, and Zoe Saldana. Set in 1970s Brooklyn, the film explores organized crime and the relationship between two brothers on either side of the law who face off against each other.
In 2008, Cotillard became the second French actress to ever win an Oscar®, and the first to win an acting award for a performance in the French language. The worldwide critical acclaim came for her riveting portrayal of legendary French chanteuse, Edith Piaf, in the film “La Vie En Rose.”
Cotillard’s credits include the successful French “Taxi” film series, written by Luc Besson, Yann Samuell’s “Love Me If You Dare,” and Tim Burton’s “Big Fish.” She garnered her first Cesar Award for Best Supporting Actress, for her performance in Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s “A Very Long Engagement.” Following that, she went on to star in Ridley Scott’s “A Good Year;” Michael Mann’s “Public Enemies,” and Rob Marshall’s “Nine,” the screen adaptation of the hit musical. Her performance in the film brought her Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice Award nominations, and she […]

Is Bradley Cooper of “Silver Lining Playbook” going to get nominated for Oscar?

January 10 the Academy Awards will announce the nominees for this year’s Oscars. We hope that the membership includes Bradley Cooper in the “Best Actor” category. What a great performance.
Bradley Cooper is seen in SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK, directed by David O’Russell. Last summer, Cooper also performed in Williamstown, Massachusetts in the production of THE ELEPHANT MAN. Directed by Scott Ellis and starring alongside Patricia Clarkson, the play marked Coopers second run at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in which he first performed THE UNDERSTUDY in 2008. Cooper is currently in development to bring THE ELEPHANT MAN to Broadway next fall. Cooper recently wrapped production on the independent drama SERENA, based on the adaptation of Ron Rash’s period novel and directed by Oscar winner Suzanne Bier.
Next year, Cooper stars alongside Ryan Gosling in Derek Cianfrance’s thriller, THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES, which debuted at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival. PLACE BEYOND THE PINES will be released by Focus Features in 2013. Recently, Cooper signed a two-year, first-look deal with Warner Brothers announcing his production company, 22 & Indiana Pictures.

Last year, Cooper reprised his role alongside Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha in the Warner Brothers comedy sequel THE HANGOVER PART II directed by Todd Phillips. The opening weekend of the film marked the highest-grossing worldwide opening for any comedy and in June 2011, the film out-grossed the original HANGOVER in worldwide earnings to become the highest-grossing R-rated comedy of all time. Cooper is currently filming the final installation, THE HANGOVER PART III, which will be released by Warner Brothers on May 24, 2013.
Last October, the 2012 Hollywood Film Awards also honored Richard Gere for career achievement; Bradley Cooper for actor; Marion Cotillard for actress; Robert De Niro for supporting actor; Amy Adams for supporting actress; Ben Affleck, Bryan Cranston, John Goodman and the cast of “Argo;” John Hawkes for breakout performance; David O. Russell for director; Dustin Hoffman for breakthrough director; Quentin Tarantino for the screenwriter award; Quvenzhané Wallis for the New Hollywood Award; Samantha Barks, Bella Heathcote, Tom Holland, John Magaro, Ezra Miller, and Kelly Reilly with the Spotlight Awards; Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner for producers; Wally Pfister for cinematographer; Dylan Tichenor for editor; Sarah Greenwood for production designer; Peter Ramsey with “Rise of the Guardians” for animation; and Jeff White with “The Avengers” for visual effects.
