‘Glee’ fans embrace Chris Colfer’s character

HollywoodNews.com: “It’s the first time in the history of television that a father like that has accepted his son for who he is.”
So beams Chris Colfer of “Glee” who told fans at Comic-Con that he receives many warm responses from his fans about his gay character, Kurt Hummel, and the relationship he has with his father.
“Every day I get thousands of emails and Facebook messages saying how much it affected them, and they’re so happy that relationship is now on television,” said the actor.
Digital Spy overheard the quotes.
Also, “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy defended Kurt’s romantic behavior toward Finn Hudson (Cory Monteith), a plot line that was played out during last season.
“I don’t look at that as creepy behaviour,” said Murphy, “I look it as a character who is in search of love and makes mistakes, as we all do, but yeah, we are going to revisit that early on in the season.
“I’ve always thought of the Kurt, Mike O’Malley, Finn triangle as men talking about their issues. We will be doing that.”

Twilight’s Peter Facinelli fitting in “Loosies” before “Breaking Dawn”

By Kim Palacios
Much like the other stars of Twilight, Peter Facinelli is making good use of his time before shooting begins for the final two Twilight films. Unlike the other stars, however, Facinelli’s project is one of his own making—he wrote the “Loosies” screenplay himself.
Though “Loosies” is currently filming in Providence, the Queens-born actor’s story is set in New York. Facinelli plays in the starring role of Bobby, a city native whose mother believes him to be a Wall Street banker. Yet, when he gets on the subway in the morning, that’s where he stays—riding the rails and picking pockets.
But don’t be fooled by his moral transgressions—it turns out that Bobby’s life of crime holds a nobler intent. Through the course of the story, the audience learns that he steals in order to pay his long-departed father’s old gambling debts.
The central conflict of the story arises when Bobby comes across Lucy, a one-night stand who claims she’s pregnant with his child. Bobby, of course, must choose a path—continue down the wrong road or redeem himself by becoming a responsible father.
Early feedback on the film (based on early interviews and sneak peeks of the first days of shooting) says Facinelli fans won’t be disappointed. Unlike the angsty vampire films, “Loosies” is a comedy-drama, and Facinelli’s natural, dark, foxy looks won’t be covered up with pale makeup and blond hair, as they are in Twilight.

Top Gear controversy: Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz lap times in question

HollywoodNews.com: ‘Top Gear’ bosses have denied that the laps that Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz completed on the show were fixed.
The two A-listers recently took the top two spots on the leader board on the British show when they took part in the ‘Star In A Reasonably Priced Car’ feature.
Some viewers had texted in to BBC radio shows saying they thought the laps had been fixed but the show’s executive producer has denied the claims.
He said: “We are listening to armchair experts who don’t know a thing. They weren’t there, they don’t understand how laps are done. Their times were accurate, their times were truthful. It really saddens me that people who don’t know anything can then sour at the moment.”

Bad ‘Situation’ on the ‘Jersey Shore’?

HollywoodNews.com: Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s ego is causing strife with his fellow “Jersey Shore” cast members.
“The others are all aggravated by him. They can’t bear his ego and that he’s earning so much from deals outside the show,” a source snitches to Page Six.
“They feared the new season would end up being ‘The Situation Show,’ so they are relieved they’ve all signed again. Expect fireworks, because he thinks he’s invincible. Some of the cast are secretly hoping they can force him to walk out like Angelina Pivarnick did on the first season.”
MTV did not return calls to Page Six.
The second season of “Jersey Shore” airs on July 29 on MTV at 10pm ET/PT.
