Hollywoodnews.com: By day, they are Hollywood mega-stars. Tonight in London, they will be guest stars.
As 20th Century Fox prepares to open James Mangold’s “Knight & Day” in the UK, stars Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz are preparing to guest on this weekend’s edition of Top Gear, the BBC reports. The pair will take part in the segment, “Star In A Reasonably Priced Car.”
“We’ve have never, ever had two bigger guests,” show officials said a statement. “For the past week, the air in the office has been alive with a sort of sweaty-palmed excitement.”
Cruise and Diaz are expected to attend a “Knight & Day” premiere in London tonight.
The duo have been very active promoting the film, with Cruise, in particular, conducting a media blitz both in the States and overseas. It hasn’t necessarily translated into the type of box office the studio might have hoped for (“Knight” just crossed $70 million in the U.S.), but continued promotional support could up the film’s international cume.
Top Gear airs on various cable channels in the U.S., so check local listings if you hope to catch the Cruise-Diaz episode.

HollywoodNews.com: Like blood leaking from a vampire’s victim, more “True Blood” spoilers arrive on the internet.
On the horizon is a smack down between Alcide the werewolf (Joe Manganiello) and the evil vampire Eric (Alexander Skarsgård). And who are they fighting over?
Why the love of Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin).
“Obviously, Bill and Sookie have been having some problems, and Alcide is in a very interesting position as far as all of that goes,” Manganiello tells E! “And Eric steps into the mix as well.
“Werewolves and vampires don’t like each other to begin with. You will wind up seeing Eric and Alcide together at some point. When I was being cast, I heard that they were looking for somebody as tall or taller than Alex because they wanted somebody who could square off against him. I’ll just say that.”
Alcide’s unstable ex-girlfriend, Debbie (Brit Morgan), is expected to stir the pot as well.
“Everybody has that psycho ex that will not go away, right?” adds Manganiello.

HollywoodNews.com: Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger made a few jokes about Mel Gibson’s situation on Wednesday.
Speaking before utility commissioners in Sacramento, Schwarzenegger exclaimed that while BP appears to have contained the Gulf oil leak, “no one has figured out how to contain Mel Gibson.”
The California governor was obviously referring to the “Mad Max” actor’s tirades recorded by his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
Schwarzenegger also told the crowd to switch off their cell phones “because we are expecting a call from him.”
Gibson’s publicist Alan Nierob wasn’t offended by Schwarzenegger’s jibes, saying “He’s obviously paving the way for a return to showbiz.”

Gibson famously flew Spears to his family compound in Costa Rica after she was hospitalised for mental-health issues in 2008.
And now insiders have claimed that the singer is repaying the favour and has been talking regularly on the phone with Gibson, who has reportedly poured his heart out to her over the spectacular public backlash he is facing over the leaked audio recordings of his violent, angry tirades towards ex Oksana Grigorieva.
A friend of the pop star told In Touch magazine “Mel has been talking to Britney a lot. “They speak on the phone all the time, usually late at night.” The friend added: “Mel was one of the only people to reach out to help Britney when she was at her lowest point, and she believes that demonstrates what a loving and wonderful man he is.
“She wants people to give him a second chance — just like he gave her one when everyone else turned away.”

hollywoodnews.com: More bad news for Mel Gibson. Last Wednesday he was interviewed by Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, according to RadarOnline.com.
He says she says… according to Oksana, Mel punched their daughter in the head twice on January 6 while she was holding the baby, according to Mel, Oksana shook the baby.
The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services is investigating the situation involving Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva.
Also, apparently Oksana was diagnosed with a concussion after the incident. She saw her doctor on January 8…more coming soon.

HollywoodNews.com: Lindsay Lohan started her jail sentence at the Lynwood Correctional Facility yesterday and it turns out she’s doing better than everyone thought she would.
Sources who have spent time with Lohan in jail told TMZ that she’s “cool, calm and sleeping a lot.” Another source added, “She’s not a mess at all. She’s keeping to herself, better than yesterday and handling it pretty good.”
They also report that the Lohan camp are trying to get her a copy of the book “The Old Man and the Sea” by Ernest Hemingway since she couldn’t bring her own copy to jail.
That should give her something to occupy herself with.

In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, the actor said: “I was never into drugs at all. There aren’t stories of me in a pool of my own vomit in a hotel room on the Hollywood Strip.”
The 35-year-old Hollywood star also revealed he got into fights when he was younger because he had a big mouth. He said: “I was essentially a dwarf with the biggest mouth in the world. “I would talk back to anyone and be up for any fight, and when you tell a kid that’s three years older than you to shove it, you’re going to get your a*** beat… I was a real punk, there’s no question about it.”
Talking about his love life, DiCaprio, who is currently dating Israeli model Bar Refaeli, said he had more luck with women before he starred in hit 1997 movie ‘Titanic.’ He added: “I had better success meeting girls before ‘Titanic.’ My interactions with them didn’t have all the stigma behind it, not to mention there wasn’t a perception of her talking to me for only one reason.”

Lindsay’s mom, Dina, and sister, Ali, went to visit her today, reports TMZ. It is reported that some exceptions can be made when there are security or safety concerns, despite the fact that visiting hours are only on the weekends.
