“Adam Lambert: Behind the Music” Preview

HollywoodNews.com: Adam Lambert is one of the biggest stars to ever come out of American Idol. It did not matter one bit that he was the runner-up during his season as he had already made the cover of Entertainment Weekly followed soon after by the cover of Rolling Stone.
He did not come out publicly until after the show but in this new VH1 Behind the Music special that premieres Aug. 8, it is clear that his sexuality probably had everything to do with his losing the final vote to Kris Allen. He was so clearly the superior talent and star but America just wasn’t ready for an openly gay American Idol.
Says Adam: “I wouldn’t want to go through my career hiding anything. … It’s just not my style. I’m proud of my sexuality. I have no shame.”
