Where is Katherine Jackson?

HollywoodNews.com: Since the middle of the night, Paris Jackson, whip-smart 14 year old, has been Tweeting that her grandmother and guardian, Katherine Jackson, is not home. Paris says she has not spoken to her grandmother in a week. Mrs, Jackson is the legal guardian of three minor children including Paris–her brothers Prince, 15, and Blanket, 10. If she has not been home for a week in Calabasas, California, then who is taking care of these children?
Jermaine Jackson has Tweeted that his mother is getting rest in Arizona, and nothing is wrong. But something is very very wrong if a 14 year old girl has to resort to Twitter to alert the world that her beloved grandmother and guardian is AwoL. The Jackson kids have lawyers and a court appointed guardian, as well. Plus, the Jackson estate should be concerned that one of their heirs is unaccounted for.
What makes all of this so suspicious is that it comes at the end of several days of infighting among the Jacksons. For years Michael Jackson used to give his mother chunks of money which she disbursed to his siblings who needed it. But since Michael died, the money is controlled by the executors of his estate. The executors must account for this money to the probate court. The gravy train for the Jackson family ended on June 25m 2009 when Michael died. Now they scramble to earn a living. There is grave concern that the siblings are pressuring Mrs. Jackson to turn against the executors, or gain conservatorship over her.
Michael’s children are not stupid. They can read the internet. By now they know that uncles Jermaine and Randy are not so interested in them. They are interested in their own futures. But I doubt scaring Paris Jackson and mobilizing her to this point will ingratiate the brothers with Michael’s kids. Let’s hope Katherine Jackson is returned to her home pronto, and that the lawyers and others representing the kids can prevent this from happening again.

Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel allegedly engaged

HollywoodNews.com: A big celebrity wedding may be on the horizon as it is rumored that Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are engaged.
It is rumored that Timberlake proposed in late-December in Jackson, Wyoming, states UsMagazine.com. He reportedly felt it was the perfect place considering how much she loves snowboarding.
Timberlake and Biel split briefly earlier this year, but reunited quietly. They allegedly soon started talking about making that next move as they were quickly very happy together once again.
Do you think they will last?

Janet, Randy, and Jermaine Jackson boycott “Michael Forever” tribute

By Kim Palacios
hollywoodnews.com: Dozens of Michael Jackson’s family members (including his mother and children) attended this weekend’s “Michael Forever” tribute concert in Wales; though siblings Marlon, Tito, Jackie, and LaToya performed, Janet, Randy, and Jermaine were conspicuously absent.
The absent siblings reportedly opposed the timing of the concert, which coincides with the manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray. In recent days, bizarre recordings of Jackson saying unflattering things about his family while apparently high on prescribed medication has fueled speculation that the late Jackson’s relationship with his family was checkered. Marlon commented on his three siblings’ absence, saying “Each one of us grieves differently. We want to celebrate the positive side of his life, the positive things that he did.”
The concert’s star-studded lineup included Christina Aguilera, Ne-Yo, Cee Lo Green, Smokey Robinson, Gladys Night, and Beyonce (via video link), who played on a stage shaped like a white glove. Jackson’s three children briefly took the stage to thank the crowd for coming to honor their father. “We’re very happy to be here on this special night,” said 13-year-old Paris.

Michael Jackson’s manager, Frank Dileo, laid to rest

HollywoodNews.com: Frank Dileo was laid to rest on Wednesday in Pittsburgh by family and friends. Michael Jackson’s long time manager is a beloved figure in the music business, dating back not only to “Thriller” and “Bad,” but to Frank’s stints at other record companies. He was also an actor, appearing in “Good Fellas” and “Wayne’s World.”
Jackson executors John Branca and John John McClain were not present, but Frank’s long time music lawyer and friend, Joel Katz, was there. So were delegations of Frank’s old cronies from Columbia and Epic Records including Lary Stessel and John Doelp. We had a nice time with Al Bunetta, the Nashville music manager and partner of singer John Prine. Also on hand: Charlie Brusco, Dan Beck, Jimmy Sacco, Frank Randall, Joe Mansfield. Frank would have been so proud.
The night before the funeral, most of this gang assembled at Lidia’s in downtown Pittsburgh where many toasts were made and lots of stories were told. Michael Jackson fans would love to have been flies on the wall for that session. Wednesday morning’s service was led by Dileo’s cousin, a priest from Cleveland. who spoke eloquently about everyone’s “Uncle Tookie.”

Michael Jackson would have been 53 today

HollywoodNews.com: Michael Jackson would have turned 53 today. Let’s concentrate on the good things–there’s enough bad stuff to keep everyone arguing for a long time. I have no doubt that fighting among fans who “know” it all will turn particularly vicious later this fall when books by Michael’s friend, Frank Cascio, and a muckracker named Randall Sullivan, are published. Also, Jermaine Jackson’s book is on its way.
And then there’s the much dreaded MJ tribute concert planned for Cardiff, Wales–a disaster in the making. Somewhere out there David Gest, who knows how to make a buck off all things Jackson, has his “documentary” that will also tell the “real story.” Let’s not forget that Michael’s father, Joe Jackson, continues to invent new money making schemes that just go pfft once they’re revealed.
We won’t even get into Drs. Murray and Klein.
What do Michael Jackson fans want to celebrate on this occasion? His extraordinary contribution to pop music culture and the canon of songs. From “Off the Wall” through the “Michael” album, as well as the Jackson 5 and Michael’s early solo stuff like “Got to Be There,” the legacy is enormous. There isn’t a club in the world that isn’t playing “Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough” every single hour of every day.

Janet Jackson does not have a secret son

HollywoodNews.com: I got a kick out of the National Enquirer cover story this week. Janet Jackson’s ex mother in law says that Janet and her son, James, are the parents of Michael Jackson barnicle Omer Bhatti. I don’t know the mechanics of these things: does the Enquirer go to these people and pay them to make up stories? It’s all a lot of fun, I guess. Omer Bhatti, of course, has actual parents in Norway. Their names are Riz and Pia Bhatti.
I’ve written about this a lot over the years. When Omer was 12, they dressed him up a like a mini Michael and brought him to Tunis, where Michael was performing in 1996. Omer did a little moonwalking in the lobby and Michael invited him to his suite. He liked the kid so much that he added the Bhattis to his tour. Then Riz and Pia went to work for him at Neverland.
Over the years, Omer stayed at Neverland even after his parents returned to Norway. When he joined them at home, Omer became a Michael Jackson imitator and made money from it. He let people think he was Michael’s kid. Jackson liked to tell intimates that Omer was his secret illegitimate son; none of it was true. It was just Michael’s fantasy and it was sad.
As far as Janet Jackson goes, I do feel bad for her. For years a persistent rumor circulated that she had a secret child that been raised by her sister, Rebbie. Now it’s this thing. Janet has no children, and I’m sure it’s frustrating to keep reading these crazy stories. Omer Bhatti quite likes it, though, because it perpetuates his connection to Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson line of perfume coming soon

HollywoodNews.com: There will be a Michael Jackson line of perfumes, but it won’t be coming from Michael’s father, Joseph. I can tell you exclusively that the Michael Jackson estate is in negotiations right now to market its own brands through a conventional big time cosmetics company. The perfume has been created, the bottles are being deisgned, and a name is being decided upon. It will not be called “Thriller,” says a source who’s working on the project.
But it’s not a bad idea. Neither are “Bad,” “Dangerous,” “Invincible” or “Off the Wall” (the latter could be body spray!). What’s NOT happening: a line of perfumes from Michael’s father, Joe Jackson.
Indeed, the estate is spending extra time shutting Jackson senior down as he makes pronouncements about new businesses he’s dreaming up to exploit his late son’s likeness. Recently, Jackson proclaimed on his website that he and a German firm–UD Group International–a firm with ties to Michael’s one time manager Dieter Wiesner–had somehow gotten the rights in that country to Michael’s name. However, the Jackson estate insists this isn’t true, and that they are contacting their German lawyers to set matters straight.
On the website, Joe Jackson can be seen hocking his own line of “champagne,” and carrying on about his new ventures. He tried to launch his own perfume line during the Cannes Film Festival, but that’s been scotched. He also told this reporter about his plans for Neverland style hotels. “That will not be happening,” said an estate source. “We think Joe knows all these things are pipe dreams. He just likes to do the traveling and get the attention,” said my source.

HollywoodNews.com: The ‘American Idol’ finale is this week and judge Randy Jackson is speaking out about one contestant having a little bit of an edge.
Jackson told host Chelsea Handler that country boy Scotty McCreery may be a little ahead at this point, states PopEater. “I think probably Scotty’s probably got a slight edge; a very slight edge,” Jackson commented.
He also added that he did see these two in the final round pretty much from the start.
Do you agree with Randy Jackson or can Lauren Alaina take the win?

Peter Jackson makes “Hobbit” casting news on Facebook

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Following the sudden departure of Robert Kazinski from the set of “The Hobbit, it became clear that Peter Jackson would need to find a dwarf Fili.
Turns out, that’s not the only casting news coming from Jackson’s camp.
Using Facebook to make the announcement, Jackson revealed that New Zealand actor Dean O’Gorman will now be playing Fili. In addition, actor Lee Pace has been added to the ensemble.
From Jackson’s Facebook page:
Dean O’Gorman will be playing Fili. Dean’s a terrific Kiwi actor, who I am thrilled to be working with. He’s recently been in an excellent TV series down here called “The Almighty Johnsons”, and I should let fans of that show know that our shooting schedule allows Dean to continue with a second series next year. Dean will be joining us next week.
I’m also pleased to announce that Lee Pace will be playing the Elven King Thranduil. Casting these Tolkien stories is very difficult, especially the Elven characters, and Lee has always been our first choice for Thranduil. He’s going to be great. We loved his performance in a movie called “The Fall” a few years ago, and have been hoping to work with him since. When we were first discussing who would be right for Thranduil, Lee came into mind almost immediately.
It’s been a great week, and I’m looking forward to the next few. It’s going to be interesting…
More soon.
Cheers,
Peter
Jackson’s “The Hobbit” currently is being filmed in New Zealand, targeting a Dec. 19, 2012 release date for part one.

Michael Jackson’s son will not appear at pre-trial

HollywoodNews.com: Despite the impending trial concerning their father, Michale Jackson’s children will not be involved in the preliminary trial, even Jackson’s oldest, Prince Michael, who was reportedly scheduled to appear as a witness.
Prince Michael was allegedly set to act as a witness recounting the events of the day that his father passed away. The preliminary trial is set to start the building blocks of the case against Jackson’s doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray, who is being accused of manslaughter. Reportedly the preliminary trial will offer up a slew of medical professionals who will be judging if Murray was right in his care of Jackson, according to TMZ.
