Kristen Stewart not starting ‘K-11′ just yet

HollywoodNews.com: While Kristen Stewart is attached to ‘K-11,’ it will not interfere with any other potential filming that may come up as it was assumed it might.
It has been rumored that ‘K-11′ would begin production on June 6th, which led to more rumors that it could interfere with anything Stewart chooses to do with ‘Snow White and the Huntsman,’ states Gossip Cop.
However, there will reportedly be no conflict with the two films as it has now been rumored that ‘K-11′ has no official start date.

A-listers migrate toward fantasy film

By Kim Palacios
hollywoodnews.com: Fantasy film is the new trend among Hollywood’s hottest actors, with 2011 and 2012 queuing up a long line of classics. Players like Julia Roberts, Nicholas Cage (and, if rumors are true, Kristen Stewart), have signed on to play archetypal figures in well-known fairy tales not previously played by A-listers.
Both Relativity Media and Universal Pictures will film Snow White movies this year, with “The Brothers Grimm: Snow White” and “Snow White and the Huntsman” scheduled to release in June and December of 2012, respectively. Less-publicized than casting for the namesake role has been casting for the Evil Queen—Oscar-winner Julia Roberts has been confirmed for the former while fellow Oscar-winner Charlize Theron is slated for the latter. A starring role in “Snow White and the Huntsman” may go to Twilight’s Kristen Stewart, though the casting has not been confirmed.
Nicholas Cage will star in a modern-day adaptation of “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”—the film will be distributed by Disney, which first featured a short based on the story in the animated classic, “Fantasia”. Amanda Seyfreid will play the starring role in “Red Riding Hood”, which will release in March of this year.
The fantasy genre was once one for unknown actors with the occasional B-lister in a cameo or minor role. Yet, the wild success of mega-franchises, such as Harry Potter, The Lord of The Rings, and, most recently, The Twilight Saga, encouraged the star-studded revival.

“Superman” short list now includes Alice Eve, Rosamund Pike

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Superman rumors continue to fly faster than speeding bullets whizzing around the Internet.
First, Kristen Stewart was being considered for the Lois Lane role, intrepid Daily Planet reporter and sometime girlfriend of the Man of Steel. Then she wasn’t up for the role (and never was, depending on whom you believe). And now we’re hearing that Lois might not even be the lead female character … though we’re not 100% sure whom the female lead would be if it isn’t Lane.
Variety (courtesy of ComicBookMovie.com) now says that three actresses are “in the running” for Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot, but that the character they’re contending for “may not be Lois Lane after all.”
“Alice Eve, Diane Kruger and Rosamund Pike have emerged as the three thesps being considered for the character, whose identity hasn’t been disclosed,” Variety writes. “Early reports had names such as Rachel McAdams and Kristen Stewart as female leads, but sources tell Variety that the studio doesn’t want a name that could overshadow its leading man.”
That would be “Tudors” actor Henry Cavill, who was named the new Superman weeks ago. But who would these lovely blonde actresses play? And if Snyder wants a beautiful blonde for Supes, why not just recruit his “Sucker Punch” starlet Emily Browning. She seems to pack a major punch in that anticipated film.
Let us know what you think, and we’ll continue to track the film’s progress ahead of its 2012 release date.

Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon in “Water for Elephants” poster

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart aren’t ready to say goodbye to the “Twilight” franchise just yet.
The power couple has two “Breaking Dawn” films to unveil before they can move on to bigger, better things. But you can see them laying the groundwork for future projects, and it will be interesting to see if the Twi-hards follow their favorite actors to new stories.
Yesterday, we were able to glimpse Stewart in early productions stills for Walter Salles’ adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s “On the Road.” And now Patterson follows that up with the first official poster for his “Water for Elephants,” a period romance that he stars in with Reese Witherspoon. We get our first look courtesy of Yahoo! Movies.
“Elephants” stars Pattinson and Witherspoon in a film adaptation of Sara Gruen’s novel about a veterinary student who joins the circus after his parents are killed.
Directed by Francis Lawrence, the film reaches theaters on April 15.

Kristen Stewart Rumored to Play Snow White

HollywoodNews.com: She’s toyed with the supernatural in the “Twilight” series and now, Hollywood’s top-grossing female actress of 2010 might be tackling the whimsy of fairy tales in her next sure-fire blockbuster film.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Kristen Stewart has been offered the role of Snow White, the fairest of them all, in Universal’s adaptation, Snow White and the Huntsman. Academy Award-winner Charlize Theron and two-time nominee Viggo Mortensen are also rumored to be attached to the project.
Like the forthcoming Red Riding Hood, which stars Mamma Mia! actress Amanda Seyfried, Snow White and the Huntsman presents a twist on the beloved fairy tale, detailing the friendship between Snow White and the Huntsman ordered to kill her. Rupert Sanders will be directing the film.

Kristen Stewart negotiating for Snow White role

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: So that source feeding Kristen Stewart news to the N.Y. Daily News turned out to be incorrect (if Stewart’s reps are to be believed), and the “Twilight” actress had no intention of ever playing Lois Lane in Zack Snyder’s planned “Superman” reboot.
Instead, it sounds like Stewart’s getting closer to committing to the lead role in Rupert Sanders’ “Snow White and the Huntsman.”
According to Heat Vision, Stewart is “in negotiations” to co-star alongside Viggo Mortensen and Charlize Theron for an action-adventure take on the classic fairy tale. Stewart would play Snow White, while Mortensen would play a hunter who agrees to help defend the princess from the evil queen (Theron).
“The deal is not done and could still fall apart, but both sides want it to happen,” Heat Vision writes, adding that Universal “made an offer [to the actress] over the weekend.”

Kristen Stewart never linked to ‘Superman’ role

HollywoodNews.com: Apparently there is no truth to the rumor that Kristen Stewart was almost involved in the upcoming ‘Superman’ film.
While rumors began circulating recently, her rep has cleared everything up, states People. “The fact is that she has not met on this film nor has she been approached for this film,” her rep says about the Lois Lane role.
So for now, fans will have to be happy to see her back in her ‘Twilight’ role and in the upcoming ‘On the Road.’

Kristen Stewart “passed” on Lois Lane in Snyder’s “Superman”

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Kristen Stewart lobbied for the role of Lois Lane in the new Superman reboot?
That’s what a source is telling the N.Y. Daily News, which reports that the immensely popular “Twilight” starlet met with “Superman” director Zack Snyder about taking over the role of the intrepid newspaper reporter (and the Man of Steel’s main squeeze).
“K.Stew recently met with the filmmaker and his wife, Deborah – who’s a producer on the film with Christopher (‘Inception’) Nolan – to discuss her taking the role of Lane,” the Daily News writes. “The meeting could not have lasted long. The source says Stewart ‘ultimately passed. … Our source, who works with Snyder, says the director did not offer Stewart the role, but had ‘definite’ interest in her playing the quick-thinking brunette.”
Stewart’s spokeswoman, however, told the Daily News that Stewart “did not read for the part” but declined to elaborate.
Call it a missed opportunity. Lane, of course, was made famous on the silver screen by Margot Kidder, though she most recently was played by Kate Bosworth in Bryan Singer’s “Superman Returns.”
A few days ago, Snyder announced that Henry Cavill of “The Tudors” would fill Superman’s tights in the blockbuster, while the Daily News goes on to say that with Stewart out of the running, Snyder will consider Jessica Biel, “Glee’s” Dianna Agron, Rachel McAdams, Malin Akerman and Mila Kunis for the role of Lane.

“Toy Story 3″ scribe agrees to pen Snow White reboot

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: There are so many Snow White projects working their way down the pipeline, from one that hopes to cast “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart in the lead to another that sticks more closely to the Brothers’ Grimm fairy tale. Now a third takes a step closer to legitimacy by hiring an Oscar-nominated writer.
That would be “Toy Story 3” writer Michael Arndt, who also wrote “Little Miss Sunshine” and has agreed to pen “Snow and the Seven” for Disney, according to THR.
Yet according to the report, this “Snow” seems to have more in common with “Mulan” than the fairest fairy tale of them all. For instance, this one is set in 19th century China.
“The unique project, which Disney has been developing since 2002, centers on a 19th century Englishwoman who returns to her Hong Kong home for her father’s funeral, only to discover that her stepmother is plotting against her. She escapes to mainland China, finding solace among a rogue band of seven international warriors,” THR reports.
As of right now, “I Am Legend” director Francis Lawrence is scheduled to direct. A long time ago, Natalie Portman was rumored to want to star, but she has so many projects on and off screen keeping her busy, that it isn’t a guarantee. We’ll continue to track as the project rolls along, but bringing Arndt on board is a tremendous idea.
