Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard talk marriage and children

HollywoodNews.com: Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are happily engaged, but they are standing strong on not marrying until it is legal for everyone.
Bell and Shepard recently told Larry King that they will be holding off on marriage until the moment is right, states UsMagazine.com. “I’ll feel more comfortable having a party — or whatever we have, if anything — if half of our friends who are homosexuals [can celebrate]. It’s just kind of rude to invite everyone to a party for a rite not everyone can hold,” Bell explained.
However, that doesn’t mean they will be holding off on having children as Shepard commented, “We’ll have them out of wedlock. We’re not worried about that.”

HollywoodNews.com: Matthew McConaughey reportedly has some major work ahead of himself as it is rumored that he is going to be dropping major weight for his next movie role.
It is reported that he is going to lose about 30 pounds to play a character suffering from HIV in the film ‘The Dallas Buyers Club,’ states ICYDK. He will allegedly be playing real-life Ron Woodruff who smuggled life-saving drugs across the Mexican border after contracting HIV.
The movie is reportedly set to start filming in September.
He did previously speak with Larry King about the role: “I’ve lost about 15 pounds, I’ve gotta lose about 15 more. I should not look healthy by the time I’m doing (filming) this.”

Howard Stern attacks Jay Leno on Piers Morgan’s new show

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Piers Morgan’s new evening talk show, formerly hosted by Larry King on CNN, is off to a rip-roaring start. His debut episode, which benefited from Oprah Winfrey in the guest chair, drew nearly 2.1 million viewers, according to CBS News.
It remains to be seen how much of that was the “newness” of Morgan’s program, the Winfrey appearance, or both. And we’ll want to see if Morgan can retain this newfound audience as he settles in to King’s former slot.
Having “King of All Media” Howard Stern on last night’s program probably helped his cause. Usually a lighting rod of controversy, Stern went after Jay Leno and opened up about pornography. Surprise, surprise.
“Jay Leno isn’t fit to scrub Letterman’s feet,” Stern told Morgan. He’s always been a Letterman guy, and recently began taking Leno to task on his daily Sirius/XM radio program.
“I don’t know why he’s beaten David Letterman in the ratings. … It’s beyond my comprehension. America must be filled with morons, who at night lay in bed, the ones that are watching him, must be in a coma.”
Business Insider, commenting on Morgan’s first few episodes, said, “If they keep booking good guests it’s hard to see how CNN doesn’t have a hit on its hands.”

Morgan apparently talked with Oprah for about 90 minutes and he sounds pretty excited for everyone to see what went down: “Was hilarious, emotional, revealing and moving. Will be a brilliant 1st show.”

Madonna apparently too “boring” for new CNN show

HollywoodNews.com: Madonna may have been in the industry for years stirring things up, but apparently one new CNN host doesn’t think she is all that interesting anymore.
As Piers Morgan is about to take over for Larry King, he claims he won’t bother having Madonna on his new show, states Digital Spy (via PopEater). “She is too vegan for TV,” Morgan said about Madonna reportedly adding that Lady Gaga has taken over so she is no longer needed.
It is rumored that a rep for Madonna responded that the singer is a big fan of Lady Gaga and implied that she didn’t know who Morgan was, ouch.
Piers Morgan’s show will reportedly start in January 2011.

Dolly Parton discusses her solid gay fan base with Larry King

By Greg Hernandez
HollywoodNews.com: On last night’s “Larry King Live,” the great Dolly Parton was the lone guest for the entire hour and she never ran out of energy, good cheer and interesting answers.
She and Larry talked about her 40 years-plus music career, her success in movies (Nine to Five, Steel Magnolias) and the 25th anniversary of Dollywood. This woman is such a wonder.
Larry also asked Dolly about her solid gay fan base wondering why we are so loyal to her: “I have a lot of gay fans, female and male. A lot of people feel like they’ve grown up with me. As you know I’ve always been outspoken, I’ve always been pretty outrageous. I’ve always believed that a person should be who they are and you should be comfortable being who you are and people should leave you alone to be who you are and how you are. So I think I’ve always been accepted in the gay community because I accept them. I have so many fans who’ve always loved to come to the shows and they know that I’m not judging them. I think people are who they are. … We’re supposed to love each other for what and who we are.”

Chris Colfer thinks “the end is near,” sort of

HollywoodNews.com: “Glee’s” Chris Colfer has just been featured as one of OUT Magazine’s top Out 100 people, but that isn’t stopping him from thinking about the future of entertainment and the direction it’s heading.
He wrote on his Twitter account, “Today I passed a man with a “The End is Near” sign. With Oprah, Larry King, and the Harry Potter movies all ending, I think he’s right.”
Somehow, we can’t help but agree with him on this one.

Kathy Griffin speaks out on recent teen suicides

By Greg Hernandez
HollywoodNews.com: If you watched Larry King Live, then you know that straight ally Kathy Griffin is damned serious when it comes to bullying and teen suicides.
The Emmy-winning comedienne did not crack a joke during the entire hour of a panel King hosted on teen bullying that also included Wanda Sykes, Nate Berkus, Tim Gunn, Chely Wright and Lance Bass.
Kathy announced that she would be donating her entire salary from her Dec. 16 concert at the Gibson Ampitheatre in Universal City to The Trevor Project.
Kathy has also just released this video where she repeats her claim that “trickle down homophobia” from political and religious leaders is to blame for making gays feel inferior and for the bullying that has led to the suicides.
“All you anti-gay public figures, and you know who you are, you have the blood of these dead teens in your hands,” she says.
