“Gangster Squad” Review by Kirk Honeycutt

“Gangster Squad” is a western masquerading as a gangster movie. It takes place in the Wild West — a virtually lawless 1949 Los Angeles — and some very bad dudes hold the town hostage.
All the law can do is round up a bunch of good guys willing to be as bad as the bad guys and then run ‘em out of town.
As these things go, this Warner Bros. production has an unusually starry cast and striking look with vintage cars and glistening period effects that pop off the screen.

Chris Brown not charged in cell phone stealing case

HollywoodNews.com: Chris Brown is breathing a sigh of relief as he is off the hook in a case where he was accused of stealing a cell phone from female in Miami when she was spotted taking a picture.
However, as the case was investigated, it was determined that no criminal activity took place, states TMZ. Brown’s girlfriend at the time, Karrueche Tran, commented during the investigation that the woman put the phone in their car and struck her on the head.
Brown allegedly later tossed the phone out of the car as it didn’t belong to them. Prosecutors reportedly determined that this was possible in the case.
What do you think about the result?
