Madonna presented the GLAAD Vito Russo Award to Anderson Cooper

Tonight, Madonna took the stage at the 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards to present the Vito Russo Award to advocate, award-winning journalist, author and talk show host Anderson Cooper. The Vito Russo Award is presented to an openly LGBT media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting equality.
Madonna wore a Boy Scouts outfit as part of GLAAD’s year-long campaign to end the Boy Scouts of America’s ban on gay scouts and leaders.

Madonna and Anderson Cooper joined hosts Lara Spencer, Josh Elliott and Sam Champion (Good Morning America); Jake Shears (Scissor Sisters); NFL players Brendon Ayanbadejo (Baltimore Ravens) and Chris Kluwe (Minnesota Vikings); Christian Borle, Andy Mientus, Krysta Rodriguez (Smash); Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey); Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi (The Jersey Shore, Snooki & JWoww); Annie Clark, Cristine Prosperi (Degrassi); Straight But Not Narrow founder Avan Jogia; Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil); John Leguizamo (Ice Age, Moulin Rouge); Laverne Cox (Musical Chairs); GLAAD’s Strategic Giving Officer Wilson Cruz (My So-Called Life); producing dream team Neil Meron and Craig Zadan and others at the GLAAD Media Awards in New York, which helps fund GLAAD’s work to amplify stories from the LGBT community that build support for equality.

NLGJA-LA and the Los Angeles Press Club present: Out in the Newsroom: A look at LGBT coverage and careers in journalism.
A panel of openly gay journalists will share experiences and advice on being out in journalism today. What are the pros and cons of being out to your superiors, co-workers, sources? What is the responsibility of a gay journalist when it comes to a news organization’s LGBT coverage? Has sexuality become a non-issue, an advantage? A disadvantage?
Event moderated by Variety political editor Ted Johnson. Panel includes CNN’s Miguel Marquez, Pulitzer Prize winner Bettina Boxall of the LA Times, Emmy winner Mekahlo Medina of NBC4, Former LA Times Assistant Travel Editor Jane Engle, and 2013 GLAAD Media Award nominee Phillip Zonkel of the Long Beach Press Telegram to our panel!

Evan Rachel Wood shoots down pregnancy rumor

HollywoodNews.com: Evan Rachel Wood might be happily married to Jamie Bell, but she wants to make it clear that she is not pregnant.
Wood recently commented on baby bump rumors that started up when she was spotted wearing a poncho and touching her stomach, states UsMagazine.com. “Sorry to disappoint. But no baby on the way here!” Wood tweeted about the speculation.
The two married just weeks ago after dating off and on since 2005. They got engaged in early 2012.

‘Housewives of Atlanta’ star apparently getting spin-off

HollywoodNews.com: It sounds like things could not be better for ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star Kim Zolciak as it is reported that she is getting her own spin-off show after succeeding with ‘Don’t Be Tardy For the Wedding.’
New promos for the next season of ‘Housewives’ were recently released with Zolciak missing, but it seems she was not cut from the cast, states TMZ. She was allegedly very pregnant at the time and will be on the show in a limited capacity.
However, this might also be a way of transitioning her off the show as it is also rumored she has been given her own full-time show by Bravo. She is allegedly already filming.

Paris Hilton apologizes for comments about gay men

HollywoodNews.com: Paris Hilton was recently recorded in a cab saying some questionable things about gay men, and now she is taking it all back.
Hilton has issued an apology for her comment that said, “Gay guys are the horniest people in the world. Most of them probably have AIDS,” states TMZ. Hilton has apologized with the statement below:
“I am so sorry and so upset that I caused pain to my gay friends, fans and their families with the comments heard this morning. I was having this private conversation with a friend of mine who is gay and our conversation was in no way towards the entire gay community. It is the last thing that I would ever want to do and I cannot put into words how much I wish I could take back every word. Gay people are the strongest and most inspiring people I know.”

Adam Lambert to Perform at “NewNowNext Awards” 2012

Adam Lambert clears up Queen frontman rumors

HollywoodNews.com: Adam Lambert is doing some rumor control after it came out that he may be the new frontman for Queen for an upcoming tour.
A report quoted Adam as commenting on his performance with the band for last year’s MTV EMAs: “The intention is to pay tribute to Freddie and the band by singing some f***ing great songs. It’s to keep the music alive for the fans and give it an energy that Freddie would have been proud of,” states The Hollywood Reporter.
However, while that quote was used to interpret Adam as claiming he’d be a part of a tour with the band, the young singer cleared things up over Twitter: “Oooh them clever reporters takin my quotes outta context…. I haven’t confirmed any guest appearances. I was talking about the EMA’S. That being said, I’m truly flattered by your jump to such glorious conclusions mr journalist!! :).”

Adam Lambert on wanting to appear on ‘Glee’

HollywoodNews.com: Adam Lambert has been quite successful since his time on ‘American Idol,’ but one thing he wants in his future is an appearance on ‘Glee.’
Lambert recently opened up about wanting to go on the show, but not to play a fictional character like other guest stars have in the past, states Gather. “I want to just be me. Why do I have to be a fictional character?” Lambert commented.
And he thinks he has some appeal for getting on the show right now: “Hopefully, maybe now that I have some new music, I could go on there.”

Drew Barrymore admits she isn’t planning her wedding yet

HollywoodNews.com: Drew Barrymore is newly engaged to Will Kopelman, but that doesn’t mean she will be planning their special wedding anytime soon.
Barrymore recently admitted on ‘Good Morning America’ that she is just enjoying this time and not going into full-on bridal mode yet, states UsMagazine.com. “I’m like, oh goodness, it just happened a month ago! Do I not have it together or is it ok to keep daydreaming?” Barrymore commented.
For now, Barrymore and her fiancee are allegedly just figuring things out with what they want to do for the big day.

Adam Lambert opens up on recent drunken incident

HollywoodNews.com: Adam Lambert recently had an incident in Finland with his beau, Sauli Koskinen, and now he is opening up about it.
Lambert was arrested with his beau after getting into an argument, but he wants to clear it all up, states People. “Violence is not to be taken lightly. Embarrassed by drunkenness. No punches thrown, no injuries and no charges. Media always exaggerates,” Lambert posted on Twitter.
The two have reportedly since made up.
