“Three Musketeers” reboot releases new trailer

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: As Hollywood continues to reboot virtually every franchise that ever existed, we’re staring down future “King Arthur,” “Sherlock Holmes” and “Three Musketeers” films. The last one on that list, in fact, is inching closer to release date, and is now teasing us with a full trailer.
Paul W.S. Anderson’s is directing a 3D remake of Alexandre Dumas’s “Musketeers” legend, which casts Logan Lerman, Milla Jovovich, Matthew Macfadyen, Ray Stevenson, Luke Evans, Mads Mikkelson, Gabriella Wilde, Juno Temple, Orlando Bloom and Christoph Waltz in a polished adaptation.
Moviefone hosted the films second trailer, which gives us a better sense of the action we can expect. We’ve also got it below.

Here’s the plot, which you probably could predict. The film follows the hot-headed young D’Artagnan (Lerman) who joins forces with three rogue Musketeers (MacFadyen, Evans and Stevenson) to stop the evil Richlieu (Waltz) and face off with Buckingham (Bloom) and the treacherous Milady (Jovovich).
It opens in 3D on Oct. 14, 2011.

Liv Tyler updates her “Hobbit” involvement

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: With so many original “Lord of the Rings” cast members returning to the fold for Peter Jackson’s “Hobbit” – from Sir Ian McKellen and Orlando Bloom to Elijah Wood and the lovely Cate Blanchett – some might be wondering what happened to Liv Tyler … especially with the recent addition of Tyler lookalike (and equal cutie Evangeline Lillie).
So ComingSoon asked the actress about her possible involvement in an exclusive, and revealing, interview.
http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=78828
“I actually don’t know a lot about it and I haven’t talked to Fran or Peter or Philippa at all,” she told the site. “I’ve seen some of the other actors, but you probably know more than I do, but I had such an amazing time making that movie. I wish that I could be in it.”
So it sounds like Tyler’s out, though Jackson keeps adding new cast members even though the production began shooting weeks ago. It’s not over until it’s over, but it sounds like Tyler’s character, Arwen, will not be making a cameo in the two-part “Hobbit” film when it comes out in 2012 and 2013.
