‘The Situation’s’ co-stars wish him luck on ‘Dancing with the Stars’

HollywoodNews.com: “Jersey Shore’s” Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino might have the best rack of abs around, but that doesn’t mean he’s got all the finesse for dancing. Despite his not-so stellar performance on the opening night of “Dancing with the Stars,” his former “Jersey Shore” co-stars still have his back.
Sammi told MTV, “I wish Mike the best of luck with ‘Dancing With the Stars. He can’t really dance, but I know he can fist-pump, and I’m sure that Karina is gonna whip some sense into him. So hopefully he does well. I wish him the best of luck. I’m there to support him. I hope he does well.”
Vinny added, “Situation doesn’t really have dance skills, but that show really isn’t about having dance skills. It’s pretty serious, what they do on it. It’s like real ballroom dancing. If Mike can follow the directions of his partner and he can go to practice every day and get it down — it’s really just how much learning capacity you have. You can be not a good dancer at all, but you can also learn how to do it.”
At least “the Situation” can rest easy tonight knowing that after his stint on “Dancing” is over, he’s still got some friends to come home to.

Fashion Police: Leighton Meester Loses It

EOnline states, “We’re concerned about Leighton Meester. We’ve always loved her as Gossip Girl‘s resident queen bee, Blair Waldorf, which makes it difficult for us to accept her as a pop star. But we know how it works with these actresses: If it’s not a record deal, it’ll be a clothing line or jewelry designing or perfume. So if Leighton wants to sing, fine. (Plus “Somebody to Love” is cheeky fun.)”
