Jim Carrey rebounds after Jenny McCarthy romance

HollywoodNews.com: Jim Carrey isn’t crying over his break-up with Jenny McCarthy.
Though the beautiful blonde comedienne dished out her sorrow to Oprah Winfrey over her split with Carrey, the “Liar Liar” star has moved on.
Page Six caught him at The Lion in New York with an “attractive young Brazilian woman.”
The couple were joined by Carrey’s former “Truman Show” co-star Noah Emmerich and his gal.
Says a Page Six source, “Carrey was openly flirting with the hottie all night, and everyone at the restaurant was talking about it,” a spy said. “After dinner, they kept the date going at the bar.”
Carrey, whose last live action film was 2008’s “Yes Man,” will be seen again in the dark laffer “I Love You Phillip Morris” which is due out on December 3.
The comedian is also attached to star in the Mark Waters’ lit adaptation “Mr. Popper’s Penguins.”
Carrey was once married to Lauren Holly, his “Dumb & Dumber” co-star in the late ‘90s. He later fell in love with Renee Zellweger who starred alongside him in the 2000 summer comedy “Me, Myself & Irene.”

Jim Carrey interested in ‘Mr. Popper’s Penguins’

HollywoodNews.com: Jim Carrey is looking to star in Mark Waters’ take on family novel “Mr. Popper’s Penguins.”
Rumors are that star-director team Ben Stiller and Noah Baumbach are no longer involved in the big screen version of the 1938 tome which focuses on a housepainter who receives two penguins, whose offspring are turned into a circus act. “Penguins” was written by Richard and Florence Atwater.
U.K.’s Empire has been following the development of the project.
Waters previous family credits include “The Spiderwick Chronicles” and “Freaky Friday.” “Hot Tub Time Machine” screenwriter Sean Anders and John Morris are busy working on the screenplay for “Penguins.”
The comedic actor’s recent film “I Love You Phillip Morris” was indefinitely shelved after its distributor Consolidated Pictures Group couldn’t scrape the funds together to release it.
