‘Jersey Shore’s’ JWOWW thrown to ground by boyfriend on TV

HollywoodNews.com: Apparently things are fine now as ‘Jersey Shore’ star Jenni “JWOWW” Farley is engaged to Roger Mathews, but the two had a bad moment on the latest episode of the reality TV show.
Roger ended up getting into a fight with some other guys at a club when JWOWW tried to step in and break it up, states TooFab. Unfortunately, Roger kept pushing her out of the way to get to the guy and ended up pushing her to the ground.
As a result of the scene, he ended up facing some serious criticism on Twitter, but has since responded to the comments. “Love my life. Love my girl. We are on display to judge and judge u may but all that matters at the end of the day is each other. #wegood,” Roger posted.

Justin Timberlake offers his dinner party advice

HollywoodNews.com: Justin Timberlake might be an actor and singer, but he is apparently also a great host as he is offering some dinner party advice to readers of ‘Bon Appetit.’
Timberlake opened up to give his best advice for throwing the perfect party that has guests leaving happy and full, states Hollyscoop. “If you’re hosting people, you want them to feel like they’re in their own home. I don’t like things to be too formal. I’ve hosted Halloween murder mystery dinners where people had to search through the house for clues. At some point, people will drink enough to be hungry, so you need enough food. I’ve hosted parties where I’ll have an In-and-Out truck show up later on in the evening,” Timberlake commented.
But, he apparently thinks a successful party comes down to a couple things: “The key to good hosting is to make sure everyone has enough to eat–and booze on.”
Do you agree with his advice?

Russell Brand documentary details drug past

HollywoodNews.com: The new BBC TV documentary ‘Russell Brand: From Addiction to Recovery’ will show fans of the actor and comedienne a different and darker side than they might be used to.
The documentary will reportedly have real-life footage of Brand when he was in his 20s and addicted to drugs, states RadarOnline. And footage of Brand seeing the past makes it very clear how strong his drug addiction is now.
“This is when you know it’s a disease. It doesn’t matter that I was sat in that flat in Hackney and now I’m in the Savoy. I’m jealous of me then,” Brand comments while watching the footage.
Brand has been clean for ten years, but it is apparently a very hard struggle: “It doesn’t make a difference to me. The money, the fame, the power, the sex, the women – none of it. I’d rather be a drug addict.”

Walt Disney Studios Unveils Epic Adventure “Frozen”

HollywoodNews.com: Walt Disney Animation Studios presents an epic tale of adventure and comedy in “Frozen,” a computer-animated feature film slated for the big screen in November 2013. Directed by Chris Buck (“Tarzan,” “Surf’s Up”) and produced by Peter Del Vecho (“Winnie the Pooh,” “The Princess and the Frog”), “Frozen” features the vocal talents of film/TV/stage star Kristen Bell as Anna, a young dreamer about to take the adventure of a lifetime, and Tony Award ®-winning actress Idina Menzel as Elsa the Snow Queen. The movie will feature original songs by Broadway greats Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.
In “Frozen,” a prophecy traps a kingdom in eternal winter, so Anna (voice of Bell) must team up with Kristoff, a daring mountain man, on the grandest of journeys to find the Snow Queen (voice of Menzel) and put an end to the icy spell. Encountering Everest-like extremes, mystical creatures and magic at every turn, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom from destruction.
Bell has starred in a variety of films, including the comedies “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” and “Couples Retreat,” and the upcoming films “Hit & Run,” “Some Girls” and the Farrelly Brothers’ “Movie 43.” On the small screen, Bell is currently starring in the Showtime series “House of Lies” alongside Don Cheadle; she has also starred in “Heroes” and “Veronica Mars.” Broadway credits include “The Crucible” and “Tom Sawyer.”
Menzel, who won a Tony Award® as Best Actress in a Musical for her role as Elphaba in Broadway’s “Wicked” (2004), landed her first role on Broadway in 1995 in the Tony Award-winning musical “Rent.” Film credits include “Enchanted” and the feature film “Rent.” She has appeared in a recurring role on TV’s “Glee” and recently released “Idina Menzel Live: Barefoot at the Symphony,” a live concert with an orchestra led by composer/conductor Marvin Hamlisch. Menzel is currently on a North American concert tour.
Robert Lopez is a three-time Tony Award®-winning writer of the Tony and Grammy® Award-winning musical “The Book of Mormon,” which was co-written with Trey Parker and Matt Stone (“South Park”), and the musical “Avenue Q,” which ran for six years on Broadway and four years in London’s West End. Lopez teamed with wife Anderson-Lopez, whose Drama Desk-winning show “In Transit” is Broadway-bound, to write original songs for 2011’s “Winnie the Pooh,” a stage version of “Finding Nemo” and a new musical called “Up Here.”

Alison Sweeney Not Slowing Down

By Beck/Smith
HollywoodNews.com: “The Biggest Loser” is wrapping up shooting for its currently-airing season this week, and host Alison Sweeney admits “I’ve been counting the days” ’til it’s over. That’s because Alison, a master multi-tasker, has taken on a workload that’s nearly impossible. There’s “Biggest Loser,” her ongoing starring stint on “Days of Our Lives,” plus the “Hollywood Girls Night” TV Guide Channel show she’s executive producing along with her on-camera chores.
Planning her schedule has been like “a thousand-piece puzzle that only fits together one way. It’s all been happening at once,” she tells us. “I try to avoid this, but one time did I have to do all three shows in one day, with the Hollywood Moms coming for dinner. That was a long day.”
In case you weren’t aware, the Sunday night show, in which she partners with Ali Landry, was inspired by their real-life social circle of celebrity moms, who had fun getting together at each other’s homes and dishing on the industry, men, their kids, men, friends and men. “We want to keep it all positive, fun and light-hearted, just like it is when we talk to our girlfriends off-camera. It’s not often you’re in the middle of an outrageous conversation or a catfight. We behave as we would if we came to someone’s house for dinner,” she says.
Sure. Not surprisingly, though, the show’s teaser promos stress the spilling of secrets, and such attention-grabbing bits as this week’s guest Kendra Wilkinson talking about building a “sex room” in her home with hubby Hank Baskett. “Kendra is a highlight — the way she opens up about her married life, her background, what her life has been like as a Playmate, how she’s comfortable with her body,” Alison says. “She had great stuff. I kept asking her questions. I HAD to know more.” Robin Givens is also on this week’s show. Future shows include “Dancing With the Stars” host Brooke Burns and champion dancer Cheryl Burke.
Alison brushes off reports that she and Landry annoyed their real-life friends by going off on their own to sell the show last year. “Obviously, I just think there’s a lot of misinformation out there,” she says. “It’s a wonderful show, really positive, and most important for us, it’s celebrating our friendships.”

Teen bride Courtney Stodden’s husband dresses as her for Halloween

HollywoodNews.com: Teen bride Courtney Stodden looked pretty much like she does everyday in her Halloween costume, but it was her husband, ‘Lost’ actor Doug Hutchison, whose sexy look was a little more unusual.
Hutchison apparently decided to dress as his young wife for the big day, states UsMagazine.com. Hutchison wore a messy blonde wig and a top that revealed some fake cleavage.
He even put on some high heels, although they were considerably less high than his young wife wears.
Meanwhile, Stodden stepped out in a small top, ruffly pink skirt, and some major high heels paired with knee-high stockings – nothing unusual for her.
What do you think of him dressing up as her?

How DVDs ruined the theatrical documentary

HollywoodNews.com: I hesitated before watching Knives Over Forks on Netflix Instant yesterday. I had an interest in the picture, and the DVD was in my Blockbuster quque, so there was seemingly no reason for me not to just watch it right from my Netflix streaming system, right? Well, first I had to go online and look up the reviews for the Blu Ray.
Specifically, I needed to check what kind of supplemental materials were on the disc. To my relief, there was only about six minutes of PSA-type material to be found, so I watched the movie yesterday (quick review – the information is worthwhile, but it’s a terribly amateurish documentary with few real insights beyond its broad thesis). I have discussed before the problem of films coming out on DVD 3-5 months after theatrical with significantly altered or extended ‘director’s cuts’ and how that negates the whole purpose of seeing a film in a theater. Documentaries are a different story. When you watch a documentary in theaters, you get the final film. But when you rent a documentary on DVD, there is a good chance that you’ll actually get two films for the price of one, with enough extra material in the form of deleted scenes and unedited interviews to constitute a second look at the same subject.
No End in Sight was a dynamite 104-minute documentary chronicling the utter disaster that was the occupation of Iraq from 2003 to 2007 (when the film was released). It was the best documentary of the year in a very good year for documentaries (Taxi to the Dark Side and Crazy Love are also modern classics). But if you happened to catch the film on DVD, you got not only the film itself, but 105 minutes of additional documentary material related to the subject. In other words, you got No End In Sight and its quasi-sequel/spin-off.
If you happened to rent Food Inc. (the best documentary of 2009, natch), you were treated to the film itself as well as around forty-minutes of additional relevant and worthwhile material. And of course, in these cases, we aren’t talking about behind-the-scenes or making-of footage, we’re talking about deleted scenes, IE – MORE documentary. And since this footage isn’t lacking in context when viewed by itself (as is the case for deleted footage of [...]

Vanessa Hudgens would take a guest role on ‘Glee’

HollywoodNews.com: Vanessa Hudgens rose to fame with the help of ‘High School Musical,’ and it sounds like that type of work is something she’d be open to returning to.
Hudgens recently admitted that she probably wouldn’t turn down a guest role on ‘Glee,’ states MTV. “I’m all for musicals. I love what they’re doing. But I’m very go-with-the-flow, so if it happens, awesome,” Hudgens said about the potential gig.
Considering Hudgens also got a bit of attention for her role in Neil Patrick Harris’ ‘Rent’ production, a part on ‘Glee’ could be a perfect fit.
