Tammy Lynn Michaels to Melissa Etheridge: “Please stop telling the press [the split] was mutual”

By Greg Hernandez
hollywoodnews.com: With remarkable candor, Tammy Lynn Michaels has opened up about her break-up with Melissa Etheridge.
She does so not in an interview or in a new book, the former Popular star poured her feelings out in a poem she has posted on her blog Hollywood Farm Girl that reveals far more than Etheridge did during her recent appearances promoting her latest album.
The former couple share two children and Tammy’s hurt is quite raw.
Here are some excerpts:
things can be a long time coming
to one
and smash the hell out of
another:
hit and run
not even staying to clean up the mess
disappearances into the
hourglass-shaped wood with strings
never to finish a fight
never interested in clarifying,
making sense, making it right
even finishing the fight
more interested in making something rhyme
time after time after time
and later angsting that you and me, WE
it didn’t work out
you evolved
you needed to be happy-
but really… you withdrew your hands
from family and intimacy
to pluck those strings more
‘d rather hear 10,000 fans
screaming my name in worship
than hear my wife harp on me
about my family intimacy issues too,
you know?
which one is going to get me harder?
easy answer
sideswiped and left mangled
up to my eyes in toilet training toddlers
and sounds of a guitar wailing
letting me know
you would probably leave me soon
i know those heart-ache wails by now
i even told you it was a break up album
and you laughed at me
you laughed and laughed
i heard fearless and i got sick
“that’s your break up song with me”
i said to you
you got so angry with me, remember?
and stomped off
so thank you for telling an interviewer
that you WON’T censor me on my blog
(i thought i was to say nothing, my bad)
i was so unhappy thinking people dare look at me
and think that i consider
a marriage and forever to be
nine years or six years or whatever
and i gave up on everything
and just walked off
never is that me… nope, never….

By Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith
hollywoodnews.com: Keke Palmer reports she’s just graduated from high school — and she’s awfully relieved. ‘Hoo! Thank God. That was a lot of pressure on my back. Now it’s one less thing to worry about,’ declares the 16-year-old star of Nickelodeon’s ‘True Jackson, VP’ series — and the ‘True Jackson: Trapped in Paris’ movie that debuts on the channel tonight (5/22).
Keke, who rose to fame with acclaimed dramatic work in such fare as ‘Akeelah and the Bee’ and ‘The Wool Cap,’ tells us she may be stepping before the cameras in her first big screen teen comedy in coming weeks. She credits ‘True Jackson’ with giving her a place to show her comedic abilities. ‘Trapped in Paris’ even has her doing a rap song ‘on an airplane. It’s a really fun scene,’ she says.
She has other feature work on the horizon as well. But her main focus for this summer is her first album for Interscope Records.
‘It’s pretty much done. I can’t wait to get out there with the music. I’ve been very, very happy with response so far,’ says Keke. She did much of her recording during ‘True Jackson’ series shooting, heading to the studio after a day’s work was through.

HollywoodNews.com: This is wonderful news: Kelly and Sharon Osbourne have been chosen as grand marshal’s of next month’s LA PRIDE Parade in West Hollywood.

Michelle Williams, Ryan Gosling: not a couple (but they just hold hands)

Hollywoodnews.com: Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling, headliners of “Blue Valentine” are just friends.
So everyone just take a breath and calm down.
Yes, they were holding hands on the red carpet at Cannes. Yes, they were getting warm at a cast dinner back in January at the Sundance film festival. To anyone born after 1970 all these signs equal ‘dating.’ But to anyone born after 1984 – they’re just friends! So, la deed ah.
Gosling’s rep yips to People magazine, “He is cozy with everyone!”
Backing this up is Williams’ rep: “They are not dating.”
So, men, make your moves on Williams.

Courtney Love also made hanky panky with Kate Moss

Hollywoodnews.com: The things that Courtney Love will do for Love, err attention.
Weeks after claiming she bumped uglies with Gavin Rossdale aka Mr. Gwen Stefani, Love, 45, is now saying that she had a lesbian fling with supermodel Kate Moss in Milan, Italy. (BTW, Courtney – it should have been Paris – it’s better city).
Speaking to the Ireland’s Hot Press magazine, Love exclaims “I hope she doesn’t get mad that I outed her about it.”
All this talk about sleeping with famous rockers – it has to be a midlife crisis on Love’s part. Love also claims that Moss chased her around the room, culminating in sex. BTW, this affair happened in the ‘90s! Like when Clinton was in office.
“I feel like such a kiss and tell. Kate’s great, though! Kate’s a good friend of mine. I almost bought her house in St John’s Wood, London,” says Love.
A single mother, Moss, 36 has a long history with gentleman callers, i.e. Johnny Depp, and cocaine. But lesbian flings? Not so much. Although word is getting around in London.

Mariah Carey is fertilizing herself for motherhood

Hollywoodnews.com: Mariah Carey wants to be a mama. Really badly.
She’s currently undergoing fertility treatment in L.A. and is taking hormone enhancements per Star Magazine. Nick Cannon is totally on board with Mimi being the mama to his juniors. He has expressed his desire for children a number of times to the media.
A source speaking to Star reveals that “Mariah is not going to be content until she becomes a mum, one way or another.”
Both performers are willing to pause their careers for the sake of children.
“We’ve definitely discussed it,” Carey expressed last November. “The only thing is that at this particular moment, it’s almost Christmas. He’s doing his work and I’m promoting and doing all this stuff. Right now is not the moment.
“My parents were divorced and it’s not like, ‘Oh, woe is me!’ A lot of people’s parents are divorced but I would just like to have a nice, normal life for that moment.”

It’s DeWyze vs. Bowersox for the “American Idol” title

Hollywoodnews.com: And then there were two.
Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox will go head to head in the season nine finale of “American Idol” next Tuesday as Casey James met his end.
During the season, James vied to show that his bluesy bar-band style trumped his good looks — a physique which caught the eye of judge Kara DioGuardi (she asked him to take off his shirt at one point during the audition).
MTV’s excellent analysis of the show points out that James’ flame burnt out based on song choice, as he decided to croon the unknown tune “OK, It’s Alright With Me” by Eric Hutchinson. Singing the judges’ choice, John Mayer’s “Daughters,” didn’t earn him any more traction.
Similar to previous years’ finalists, i.e. 2009’s Kris Allen/ Adam Lambert showdown and 2008’s David Cook/ David Archuleta face-off, the two early favorites, whom never hit the bottom three, continued on to “Idol” success.
Lambert has given his vote of confidence to earthy single mom Bowersox.

Christina Aguilera not in ‘bad romance’ with Lady Gaga

Hollywoodnews.com:
Christina Aguilera just learned – this morning – that there’s rumors out there about her being jealous over Lady Gaga. In effort to clear her name, Xtina is stomping the gossip out immediately.
Rather than being envious, it appears to Hollywood News that Xtina is pretty much chasing Lady Gaga’s thunder. Just take a look at the album cover for Xtina’s new album Bionic.
Well, this whole strife will get settled with a deep kiss between the two on some future MTV awards show.
Here’s Xtina’s note, straight from her website:
Dear Fans,
I would like to take a moment to clarify something that has been brought to my attention this morning. It is very easy for comments to be taken out of context and create unnecessary drama-especially between us women. So I would like to tell you all directly so my words can not be misconstrued to sell someone else’s story…I have absolutely nothing against Lady Gaga or any other female artist in this business. I think she is great, and I appreciate any woman fearless enough to go against the norm. She has earned her success with hard work and a clear focus and I have nothing but respect for that.
There is room for all of us on everyone’s iPods.
This is not the first time I have been unfairly pitted against another female artist but it will be the last time I comment on the matter.
“Can’t hold us down….”
With love,
C/X
