Ah, Super Bowl weekend! Warm Bodies (review) can go from a $9 million Saturday to a $2.9 million Sunday and it’s okay! According to the studio, it earned $8.1 million on Friday, $9 million on Saturday, yet is expected to make just $2.9 million today.
Yes, I know today is the Super Bowl, but I’m always shocked by these mega drops each and every year. The film, which has an estimated $20 million debut, played 60% female (because girls like horror films too!) and 65% under 25, which means it is doing best outside of the stereotypical older male football fan who is already getting ready for the big game so it may end up with a slightly higher weekend total in the end. It earned a B+ from Cinemascore, with an A- from those under 25 and an A from those under 18.
Regardless, this is a solid debut for a film that easily could have played to the geek crowd exclusively. This is the kind of film that could have easily opened with $8 million over the weekend, as opposed to $8 million on its first day.

HollywoodNews.com: Beyonce is apparently headed to the Super Bowl as she will reportedly be performing the halftime show for the 2013 game.
Beyonce will be performing at Super Bowl XLVII on February 3rd which will take place in New Orleans, states TMZ. The official announcement has not yet been made but is expected to be announced very soon.
Beyonce will be joining the ranks of past Super Bowl performers which includes Madonna, The Who, U2, Tom Petty and Michael Jackson.

HollywoodNews.com: Madonna knows how to get publicity, and she’s using all the tricks in her book. On stage in Istanbul this week, she purposely bared a nipple. The result is a viral video. After the nipple is presented, she turns her back to the crowd. And on her back is a tattoo (stenciled, hopefully) that reads: “No Fear.” You gotta give her credit.
First it was the Lady Gaga cover and “She’s not me.” Now this. There’s going to have to be a p.r. stunt once a week through the summer as Madonna tours the world and approaches America. It’s kind of enthralling. With the “MDNA” album gone, Madge has to keep stoking the fires. I love the look on her face, too, when she completes her own “wardrobe malfunction.”

HollywoodNews.com: Although Gisele Bundchen made some strong comments about Tom Brady’s Patriots’ teammates not catching passes during the Super Bowl, it seems everyone involved has put it behind them.
Bundchen and Brady are now spending some time in Costa Rica vacationing with his teammate Wes Welker and his fiancee, Anna Burns, states UsMagazine.com. Welker was one of the players who didn’t catch Brady’s pass during the Super Bowl.
The two are reportedly vacationing there with their son and their friends.

While Perry and Tebow were linked over Super Bowl weekend as she reportedly dedicated a song to the athlete, it seems that was all it was, states Hollyscoop. When asked if there was any truth to the rumors, Tebow commented, “No, there’s not.”

Perry is reportedly being very careful about avoiding the media as she just isn’t ready to discuss her split with Russell Brand, states Hollyscoop. Perry is getting back to work, but knows that the media will only want to talk about the divorce filing.
So, for now, Perry is reportedly doing what she can to get back out there without having conversations about Brand.

HollywoodNews.com: While many people seemed to enjoy Madonna’s Super Bowl halftime show performance, it seems that Piers Morgan was definitely not one of them.
Morgan was on Chelsea Handler’s show when he got into his opinion about Madonna’s performance for the big game, states UsMagazine.com. “I keep reading all these celebrities tweeting like, ‘Wasn’t she awesome?’ No she wasn’t! She was gruesome!” Morgan commented.
Morgan also commented that the two simply don’t like each other, which is not surprising since he did ban her from ‘Piers Morgan Tonight.’

HollywoodNews.com: It looks like things are back on track for Nick Cannon as he is working and healthy after his recent health scare involving his kidneys.
Cannon was one of the hosts for NBC’s Super Bowl pre-game show and revealed that things are going well for him now that he is feeling like himself again, states TooFab. “This is a great place to get back and debut the healthy Nick … I am 100 percent feeling good right now,” Cannon commented during his appearance.
Cannon has reportedly changed his diet a bit in order to stay feeling this way as he claims he was once a “fast food junkie.”

HollywoodNews.com: Last week, Gisele Bundchen’s private email was released in regard to her hoping for a Super Bowl win for her husband, Tom Brady, but it seems it didn’t work but she isn’t blaming her husband for the loss.
While Bundchen was leaving the game, a New York Giants fan reportedly commented, “Eli owns your husband,” to which Bundchen made her own comment, states TMZ. The supermodel then allegedly said to a friend, “My husband cannot f****ing throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”
She was then later spotted hugging her husband in support.

Hollywoodnews.com: As Hollywood debates which blockbuster better helped its cause with a winning Super Bowl ad campaign, America needs to rally behind this outstanding Chrysler ad featuring a solemn yet hopeful Clint Eastwood reminding us that unity is pretty much the only thing that can get our nation through its toughest times.
It’s a car ad, but only in the sense that it calls to attention the rebound of the automotive industry in Detroit.
Instead, this is a shot in the arm, a call to arms for Americans to believe in each other again … and to believe in themselves.
Eastwood uses the halftime analogy, saying that our country is figuring out how to come back, how to win. It’s a stirring ad, perhaps more effective than Eastwood’s last few films. (Sorry, sir, but the truth is the truth.)
“This country can’t be knocked out with one punch. We’ll get back up again and when we do the world’s gonna hear the roar of our engines. Yeah. It’s halftime, America,” he said. “And our second half’s about to begin.”
Can the former politician run for president?
