HollywoodNews.com: Ben Affleck and Rachel Weisz are coming aboard Terrence Malick’s untitled romantic drama.
The feature already stars Javier Bardem, Rachel McAdams and Olga Kurylenko.
Per The Wrap and Digital Spy, Affleck is filling in for Christian Bale who departed from the role.
Malick’s next feature is “The Tree of Life” from Apparition. That film, which stars Brad Pitt and Sean Penn, is expected to unspool this award season; however, no definite date has been marked on the calendar.
In his 35 years as a critically acclaimed director, Malick has only directed four other features including “Badlands,” “Days of Heaven,” “The Thin Red Line” and “The New World.”
Affleck’s next film, which he starred in and directed, is “The Town” due out on September 10.
