HollywoodNews.com: Taylor Swift has apparently won Jake Gyllenhaal over so much that he reportedly decided to splurge a little for her 21st birthday.

Swift reportedly received a rare Fender Gretsch guitar from her beau that cost about $11,000, reports The Sun. Not only was it pricey and rare, but it was also reportedly signed by country music icon Chet Atkins.

He reportedly first saw the guitar with her when they were in a local music store in Nashville one weekend. Gyllenhaal allegedly wanted to get it for her so badly that he was prepared to get it simply as a gift, but luckily her birthday rolled around just in time.

Ewan and Julie Searle, both 25, were having a drink and celebrating their wedding last week when Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, stopped by.

Julie told British newspaper The Sun: “It was unbelievable, we were toasting our future by drinking champagne and beer with some guys we met in the hostel we were staying at. Then Lady Gaga, dressed in this fabulous cerise dress, came in with her entourage, she stood at the bar and ordered a drink for everyone.”

The 24-year-old asked the couple what they were celebrating while they were at The Raven pub in Chiswick, West London. Julie added: “I said, ‘Yes, we got married’, she said, ‘that calls for a song.’”

Someone then rushed to get a guitar for the ‘Bad Romance’ singer to play. Searle said: “They played Gimme Shelter by the Rolling Stones for us in the back room.”

But she admits it has not always been that way as she used to get called fat and ugly. The 26-year-old was at one point more than 11 stone but the star lost three stone last year while on the US version of ‘Britain’s Strictly Come Dancing.’

Kelly told British newspaper The Sun: “I used to hate everything about myself, when you’ve been told your entire life that you are fat and ugly and that you are a spoiled brat, you start to play along with it and believe it. There will always be a side of me that doesn’t like myself but Dancing with the Stars completely changed me – I managed to have a total life change and – so far – I’ve kept it up.”

She added: “It’s not like I look at myself and think I look amazing, I’m not that kind of girl. I’ll always be able to find some self-deprecating comment to make about myself and how I look – but I don’t hate myself any more, that in itself is good enough for me.”

Osbourne recently posed in a layer of gold paint to celebrate her new figure and mark the launch of Sky’s 50th HD channel.

She said: “It would have been like recreating Miss Piggy if they’d done this on me before, it is the most daring outfit I have ever worn. I did have a bikini on underneath but it felt really strange, like someone trying to suffocate me.”

HollywoodNews.com: After excelling as a wrestler onscreen, Mickey Rourke is getting his game on. Rugby, that is.

The Oscar-nominated actor is in talks to play Gareth Thomas, an ex-Wales captain who came out last year and revealed that he was gay. The Sun reports that Rourke was in London discussing the film with Thomas.

Gareth told the paper: “Being out with Mickey was like being in a film itself.

“The film’s a challenge – it’s one thing to play a rugby player, to play a gay one will be more fun.”

Rourke, ever the consummate method actor, is learning Welsh for the part. No surprise, as he went the distance to perfect a Russian accent and visit jails in the former U.S.S.R. in crafting his role as the villain Whiplash in “Iron Man 2.”

Rourke’s results at the B.O. this summer have been spectacular between “Iron Man 2” and “The Expendables,” minting $870 million worldwide.

The pop singer plans to marry her boyfriend Luc Carl, a guy she previously dated in 2005 and has recently kissed and made up with.

It’s been no secret that Lady Gaga is enthralled with all things British. Best friend Elton John gifted her a tea set over the summer.

The Sun reports that Gaga’s ideal locale will be a castle. The date for their nuptials is December. Plans include a horse-drawn carriage as well as a performance by burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese, the former g.f. of Marilyn Manson.

A Sun source exclaims: “Lady GaGa has told everyone she plans to get married. She has said she wants a fairytale wedding in a castle.

“We finish the European leg in London just before Christmas and the timing is perfect for the wedding.”

Violet Kowal, 26, a Polish porn star who Gibson saw for three months while with Oksana Grigorieva, might have some audio tapes that could help the actor-director’s defense.

Grigorieva has been in a bitter custody battle with Gibson throughout the summer and is claiming that the “Passion of the Christ” director punched her teeth out.

Kowal has told the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department that Grigorieva’s bodyguard bribed her to dish some dirt against Gibson. He also threatened Kowal, should she wish not to cooperate.

Kowal also revealed the evidence to Gibson’s criminal defense attorney Blair Berk.

A source told Radaronline: “At that meeting, Violet played Mel’s lawyers a series of taped audio recordings which show how a bodyguard, who identified himself as working for Oksana, made advances to them.

“The bodyguard offered personal, financial and legal assistance on behalf of Oksana and her team in exchange for information on Mel, from Violet.

“The man claimed Oksana would soon be worth millions of dollars, and it was worth having her on your side.”

The Sun also reports that Kowal was advised by Gibson’s bodyguard to disappear for a while.

Martin Freeman, the British actor from “The Office,” is still in the running for the Bilbo Baggins lead in Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit.”

U.K.’s The Sun originally reported that a scheduling conflict with the BBC “Sherlock Holmes” series prevented the actor from committing to the prolific role. In the show he portrays Dr. Watson.

However, EW.com confirms the following: “According to sources close to the ‘Hobbit’ production, it’s not over yet. New Line and MGM, the studios backing the ‘Hobbit’ films, have since come back to Freeman with a proposed schedule that would allow him to shoot both projects. All parties are currently negotiating a deal.”

When the ink is dried, Freeman will collect a seven figure payday for his work as a Middle Earth citizen.

The Sun reports, “The dressing room was decorated with balloons and banners and a lot of champagne had been put on too.”

HollywoodNews.com: Catherine Zeta Jones has rallied against the doctors who failed to spot her husband Michael Douglas’s throat cancer. The actor had repeatedly complained of neck and ear pain before he was diagnosed, The Sun reports.

“Early summer I had a really sore throat. I went through a litany of doctors and tests and they didn’t find anything,” Douglas revealed.

“It makes me furious they didn’t detect it earlier,” Zeta Jones said. “He sought every option and nothing was found. I knew something was up. He knew something was up,” she explained.

This week the ‘Wall Street’ star began an eight-week course of radiation therapy and chemotherapy. The actress has described her pain at watching her husband of ten years undergo the gruelling treatment.

“I know maybe I should be stronger, but emotionally I just don’t want to see that. The hardest part is seeing his fatigue, because Michael is never tired,” she said.

Douglas says he has an 80% chance of beating the disease, declaring, “I’m treating this as curable. It’s a fight. I’ll beat this.”
