Twilight’s Peter Facinelli fitting in “Loosies” before “Breaking Dawn”

Much like the other stars of Twilight, Peter Facinelli is making good use of his time before shooting begins for the final two Twilight films. Unlike the other stars, however, Facinelli’s project is one of his own making—he wrote the “Loosies” screenplay himself.
Though “Loosies” is currently filming in Providence, the Queens-born actor’s story is set in New York. Facinelli plays in the starring role of Bobby, a city native whose mother believes him to be a Wall Street banker. Yet, when he gets on the subway in the morning, that’s where he stays—riding the rails and picking pockets.
But don’t be fooled by his moral transgressions—it turns out that Bobby’s life of crime holds a nobler intent. Through the course of the story, the audience learns that he steals in order to pay his long-departed father’s old gambling debts.
The central conflict of the story arises when Bobby comes across Lucy, a one-night stand who claims she’s pregnant with his child. Bobby, of course, must choose a path—continue down the wrong road or redeem himself by becoming a responsible father.
Early feedback on the film (based on early interviews and sneak peeks of the first days of shooting) says Facinelli fans won’t be disappointed. Unlike the angsty vampire films, “Loosies” is a comedy-drama, and Facinelli’s natural, dark, foxy looks won’t be covered up with pale makeup and blond hair, as they are in Twilight.
