Oprah to launch film club
Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network has made a partnership with Ro*Co Productions (“Jesus Camp,” “Born Into Brothels”) to create a documentary film club. OWN will screen one documentary a month followed by an event that will turn the film into an “experience,” and not just a one time view.
OWN’s press release stated, “The…films will give the audience a festival experience by creating communities nationwide that can screen the film together and participate in a live, moderated panel discussion.”
We smell Oprah’s magic documentary picks to become worldwide sellers overnight.

This is great news! Oprah’s imprimatur could explode the DVD sales potential and social impact of these worthy docs…and I’ve heard many of Roco’s films are top-notch.
