“Undercover Boss” wins jackpot spot
CBS has announced that The Wrap has reported that “Undercover Boss” will premiere in the post-Super Bowl slot beating out shows “The Mentalist,” and “Survivor” for the coveted spot. The story follows top level executives who anonymously take entry level jobs at their company to see how their choices affect the lower-wage employees. Already executives from companies White Castle, 7-Eleven and Hooters are aboard for the first season.
This is a bold move considering the last time a new series premiered after the bowl was back in 2005. CBS has gotten strong response to the “Undercover Boss” episode back in May, but they didn’t expect the series to premiere until mid-season.
