Rihanna to reveal new song at
Haiti telethon

Rihanna will perform a new song called “Stranded” with rapper Jay-Z and U2’s The Edge and Bono in London for the “Hope for Haiti” telethon. Myro reports that Rihanna expressed her concern for Haiti by saying, “In the Caribbean, we think of ourselves as one big family, one country…It’s like it happened to Barbados (her hometown).”

Rihanna isn’t the only music star writing new songs inspired by this issue. Earlier this week Linkin Park unveiled a new song that is directly linked to the Haiti disaster called “Not Alone” that possess the lyrics “The cold comes, racing through my skin / Searching for a way to get to you / Through the storm you… / Go, giving up your home / Go, leaving all you’ve known / You are not alone.”

“Not Alone,” as well as other unreleased songs by bands Hoobastank, All American Rejects, Peter Gabriel, Dave Matthews Band, and Lupe Fiasco can be downloaded at MusicForRelief.org where all proceeds of the “Download to Donate for Haiti” album will go to foundations that are providing aid to Haiti.
