“Messenger” director Oren Moverman to do Kurt Cobain film



THR’s Risky Business Blog has reported that Oren Moverman, director of “The Messenger,” is set to direct a film about the rock star Kurt Cobain (Nirvana) who took his own life in 1994. “Brothers” screenwriter David Benioff took the project in 2007 and has done a fair share of research to get the script right. He has done first-hand research including talking and visiting with Cobain’s friends in Aberdeen and Seattle.

    I’m surprised this movie is JUST getting made now…you would have thought that Hollywood would have jumped on this following his suicide
