Lady Gaga fans petition for unedited version of “Alejandro” Neither Lady Gaga nor her fans can seem to forgive “American Idol” for cutting out nearly two minutes from her “Alejandro” performance from the broadcast on Wednesday.

Her fans, or as she calls them, her Little Monsters, are petitioning for the full, unedited version to be broadcast, and for Fox to apologize to the singer.

Moments from Gaga’s performance were cut in four different places, including a few of the more controversial dance moves and an extended version of “Bad Romance” in the opening.

Her friend, and celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton linked to the fan-created petition on his blog. The petition, created by the Little Monsters of the World, calls Gaga’s performance “art” and accuses Fox of cutting apart a work of art.

“Would you take a $250,000 painting, cut it in pieces, and put it together to better fit your wall? No. Thus, you should not take the art of this artist and do the same,” states the petition.

Lady Gaga also expressed her disappointment with the broadcast on Twitter. “FOX POORLY + AMATEURLY edited+cut my performance/musical arrangement on idol,” she wrote. She also linked to a full version of the performance. (See the full version of the performance below.)

What a load of nonsense – Gaga fans (and I am one) should be grateful the whole performance wasn’t broadcast – it sucked!

As for Idol, at this point the only contestant I care about is Crystal – she’s the only real star left in the show!

This Idol season has been a complete disaster. Here’s a great blog piece I read that really nailed the show’s problems – and gives 8 ways to fix Idol for the future
