Will.I.Am’s British muse Cheryl Cole gets a duet with Fergie

By HollywoodNews.com

Hollywoodnews.com: United States, get ready for Cheryl Cole. Who is she? Well, Cole is U.K. pop singer who has been making waves across the pond.

Similar to the way he launched U.K. R&B sensation Estelle stateside with his song “American Boy,” Will.I.Am. is penning a duet for Cole and Fergie.

A source tells The Sun: “Will came up with the idea after seeing how well the two have bonded. They’ve become great friends so collaboration is a natural step. If the song is right, Cheryl and Fergie are up for it. From what Will’s been saying so far, they’re really keen. It will be a sexy, sultry and ambiguous number. And given that Fergie is a huge name in the US, it could be the tune to really break Cheryl over there.”

Will.I.Am produced Cole’s 2009 album “3 Words” and supposedly has a crush on her having been charmed by her 2002 singing days with the band Girls Aloud.

Will.I.Am received an on-stage hug from Cole as she supported the Black Eyed Peas at Birmingham’s NEC LG Arena over the weekend. But that’s the extent of their relationship says U.K. gossip hounds.

Apparently, Cole keeps referring to Will as being “like a brother”, which appears to be a massive snub for him in terms of romance.
