“Sherlock Holmes 2” to bow December 2011; other Warner films announced

Hollywoodnews.com: Warner Bros. scheduled a slew of upcoming big pics including “Sherlock Holmes 2” for a mid December 2011 opening.

In 2011, Warner Brothers, according to the Hollywood Reporter, will release about 25 films including:
— Red Riding Hood: April 22, 2011
— The Hangover 2: May 26
— Green Lantern (3D): June 17
— Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II (3D): July 15
— Journey to the Center of the Earth 2 (3D): Sept. 23
— Happy Feet 2 (3D): Nov. 18
— New Year’s Eve: Dec. 9

Also, Christopher Nolan’s sequel to “Dark Knight” will unspool on July 20, 2012 while the next “Superman” will see a holiday bow in that year as well.

There are a slew of DC Comic superhero films still in development including Flash, Wonder Woman and Aquaman.
