Young Sirius Black cast in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
By Whitney Milam
HollywoodNews.com: Even more exciting casting news for “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” is brought to us tonight by popular Harry Potter fansite SnitchSeeker, fresh from revealing the actor playing Teddy Lupin, with the announcement that 12-year-old Rohan Gotobed (how much do we love that name?) has been cast as the younger version of Gary Oldman’s character, Sirius Black, confirmed by the Abacus Agency.
Fans of the books will of course remember the scene that Rohan seems to have been cast for, in which Sirius, James Potter, Lily Evans, and Severus Snape meet during their first journey on the Hogwarts Express, a moment that will likely be seen as part of a series of flashback memories in Part Two of Deathly Hallows, slated for a July 15, 2011 release. In the meantime, we can continue to breathlessly await the upcoming November premiere of Part One, along with–fingers crossed!–even more casting announcements in the coming weeks.
Until then, what do you think, Potter fans? Does Rohan look like Sirius to you?
