Harrison Ford has a frugal life as a star; only perk is flying planes

HollywoodNews.com: As a movie star, Harrison Ford’s only extravagance is his fleet of planes.

Ford, 67, revealed recently that he lives his life with wife Calista Flockhart, “quite frugally.”

“I’ve never bought a single suit in my whole life. Instead, I just always wear the clothes from my films.”
Ford is a licensed pilot of fixed-wing aircrafts and helicopters.

“I’m so grateful that people still want to see me on screen — with my fees I can finance my armada,” says the “Indiana Jones” headliner, “if I didn’t get any roles anymore I would have to go by plane as a normal passenger.

“Initially it was just about learning something new: I wanted to know exactly how to operate an aircraft. It appealed to me to develop all these capabilities that you need as a pilot.

“It also gives you a wonderful feeling of freedom when you are the master of your own airplane. But I’m not a daredevil, I want to bring my family safely home.”

    What utter balderdash.

I adore Ford, but he owns 800 acres in Wyoming, a palace in the Caribbean,a flat in London, a huge spread in Manhattan, numerous jets, houses, and is worth over 300 millions dollars.

For goodness sakes, his last divorce payout was the largest in history, $90+ million dollars and THAT was a percentage of his post Star wars earnings.

poor little rich guy. I must admit he probably didn’t say he lives frugally, it was just a good spin for the writer of the article me thinks.
