‘Mad Max IV’ production delayed until 2011
HollywoodNews.com: Production on “Mad Max: Fury Road” has been halted until next year.
The film was slotted to be the fourth in the franchise starring Charlize Theron and Nicholas Hoult. Billed as a reboot of the 1979 “Mad Max,” “Fury Road” does not star Mel Gibson. Actor paved his acting career by playing the futuristic cop.
Produced by Warner Bros. and directed by the original “Mad Max” director George Miller, “Fury Road” was expected to start lensing in November in Australia.
Production is expected to begin in February and will also include a back-to-back sequel “Mad Max: Furiosa.”
OK! reports that the film was delayed due to casting and screenwriting problems.
Perhaps the production is trying to hook Gibson back?
