Lindsay Lohan’s “Underground Comedy” a remake of 1999 original?

By Sean O’Connell One of Lindsay Lohan’s “Underground Comedy” co-stars wrote us last night regarding her next feature … and no, it wasn’t the “Shamwow” guy.

Instead, Jonathan Spencer — who identified himself as one of the paparazzi in Lohan’s scene — e-mailed to inform us this version of “Comedy” that will be hitting theaters in the fall is a “remake” of the 1999 film, with “a different cast and a MUCH bigger budget.”

“We shot it at Paramount in June,” Spencer said, adding that there was a “revised” script and “newly shot” material.

We’ll see. “Underground Comedy” is due out in the fall. We’ll keep you posted on details.

This looks really raunchy and fun. I like silly comedy flicks and this one has some of my favoritest people everrr!! (LL + Sham Wow Guy) Destined to be the most ridiculous movie I have never seen in theater. I am most excited to see her gun down the paparazzi, long overdue. Such a perfect role for her right now, and I really want to see it.

Heres TMZ loving it also. haha
