Lindsay Lohan Maxim interview shows excited young actress with words of wisdom In an interview given days before she headed behind bars to serve time for violating her DUI probation, Lindsay Lohan spoke about her plans to focus on herself and her work on her release. “I’d like to do more work in India and travel to Malawi,” the troubled star told Maxim.

The 24-year-old also shared her excitement about her role in Robert Rodriguez’s ‘Machete.’ Posters for the upcoming movie have Lohan dressed as a gun-toting nun. “We filmed in Texas, and it was such a great, fulfilling experience. I play April, Jeff Fahey’s daughter, who is up against Robert De Niro. April is clever and witty and aspires to model,” the actress said of her characters.

“I get to kick ass. It was a whole new experience for me on a set. I want to do more action films!”

The ‘Mean Girls’ star offered some words of wisdom to those facing adversity. “Stay true to yourself always,” she argued. “At the end of the day, you have to look at yourself in the mirror and be content with the choices you’ve made, and will make, in your life. Go with your gut!”
