Ryan Reynolds might take refuge in ‘Safe House’ with Denzel Washington

HollywoodNews.com: Ryan Reynolds is being eyed to co-star with Denzel Washington in the thriller “Safe House.”

Potential casting bulks up a heavy upcoming schedule for Reynolds who is being tapped for several comic book projects including a Green Lantern” sequel, “Deadpool” and “R.I.P.D.” He is also connected to the comedy “The Change-Up.”

“Snabba Cash” helmer Daniel Espinosa is slotted to direct “Safe House.” Universal bought the spec script from US Weekly editor David Guggenheim back in February.

Plot revolves around a CIA agent (Reynolds) who is attempting to move a dangerous criminal (Washington) to another secure locale before even more violent forces kill them both.

If Reynolds passes, Empire Online cites a Heat Vision list of actors who are dying for the role including Chris Pine, Taylor Kitsch, Tom Hardy, Sam Worthington, Shia LaBeouf, James McAvoy and Zac Efron.
