Justin Bieber used current tour as bargaining chip to get funding for screenplay

HollywoodNews.com: Justin Bieber may be the hottest pop star around, but in between having fun as a 16-year old and playing to thousands of screaming girls around the world, the kid also wants to take a stab at the movie business.

Apparently, when he signed his current tour contract with AEG Live entertainment group earlier this year, he agreed to “perform up to 140 tour events between June and December of 2011,” according to TMZ. However, Bieber used it as a bargaining chip to make the company agree to fund the development of a “certain screenplay as requested by Justin Bieber.”

Do you want to see Bieber jump into the movie business, or should he stay focused on what he’s doing right now?
