Jennifer Lopez reportedly earning $12M to join ‘American Idol’

By Sean O’Connell “American Idol” has added more star power to its judges table, reportedly sealing the deal on bringing Jennifer Lopez into the fold.

The award-winning singer/dancer/actress/mogul has finalized an agreement to join the last remaining “Idol” judge – Randy Jackson – on the reality contest’s panel. According to a report posted on People, Lopez will join Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler, though even he says he only “probably” will join the show.

Can’t anybody commit on the record when it comes to this ongoing rumor mill of “Idol” judges?

There has not been an official announcement on Lopez, though People says her deal would be in the range of $12 million. So while we are not 100-percent sure who will be on “Idol,” it looks like Lopez and Tyler, alongside Jackson. And Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi are out.

Major shakeup. Did “Idol” get better, or did it just jump the shark?
