Gemma Arterton doesn’t want to be a sex object
HollywoodNews.com: Actress Gemma Arterton continues to cry to the media about how the industry pigeonholes her as a sex object.
It’s downright annoying to her, for producers fail to see her true thespian talents.
Speaking to The Sun, the “Prince of Persia” actress reveals that she was mistreated on several movie sets and nearly walked off.
Also, she’s sick and tired of reading scripts where women are sidelined, or exist only to puff up their male lead.
“I’m looking at working with people that respect me, that don’t just see me as a piece of ass,” says Arterton.
On the set of “Prince of Persia,” Arterton saw many women being treated “like s***.”
The Sun was thrown off by Arterton’s statements since she plays a hottie in her new film “Tamara Drew” – straight down to her denim short-shorts in the film.
“Tamara Drewe” bows October 8 in the U.S.
